In Iraq, we took a Tyrant Dictator out of power in Saddam Hussein, who also killed many thousands of his own people using chemical weapons. In Afghanistan, we assisted in ousting the Taliban that terrorized and oppressed the people of Afghanistan.
The U.S. only receives about 12 percent of the oil from the Middle East, 3 percent from Iraq and 3 percent from Kuwait. Not 50%. |

I think if the troops are asked for help then, is when they should be there, but not to invade like it was done in Iraq, Afghans are calling for
help, in Kuwait Senior Bush was called upon to send the troops, and
the war was successful, but up to now all that was accomplished is
the capture of Sadam Hussein, other to that there is nothing to fight for
in Iraq, anymore. The US military just occupied the land but in vain.
Who's fault is that? not theirs'. They followed orders. |

Well considering we get nearly half our oil from the middle east, and oil powers 95% of all our nations energy, then yes we do belong in the Middle East to protect our economic interests. It would be foolish to let the Middle East alone so one nation could just whipe out all the others and horde all the oil and hold the global economy hostage. America and the rest of the world depends on the middle east. We need a presence there if we are going to keep it from all going to hell. |
