Every day. Convoy Escort, Patrols, Route Clearance...You name it they do it, There is no Front Line in this current conflict, so every soldier, no matter what their MOS has the potential of qualifying on the two way range. Hell, Cooks pull tower and gate guard these days |

Yes. Outside of combat arms, MPs and Transporation are the most engaged support forces. I can think of an MP Distinguished Service Cross winner and a couple Silver Stars off the top of my head.
They aren't called Girl Infantry for no reason. |

My fiancee on his deployment was the MP Gunner of an MI Team... He was outside the wire everyday in convoys, kickin in doors, following up on Intel and such.
Hell yes they get to see combat. |

Not stateside, obviously, but my husband is an MP and was deployed for 15 months to Baghdad. They went on missions everyday, ranging from convoy escorts and route clearance, to welfare missions taking water and toys to neighborhood children. They were outside the wire about 95% of the days they were there. They all joke that they're 'infantry mobilized.' |

HELL YES! im active duty military police, we see tons, you dont have to go over seas to see combat. heck some of the stuff you see on bases will make you swear combat! from jokes gone bad, to domestic calls...you will be a police officer in uniform, realize that....as far as iraq style combat, yes you will see it. we act as combat support, so kick in doors and exchange rifle fire...ive done it all |
