More than likely, you will spend time in a war zone if you enlist today . Over ninety percent of new recruits go to Iraq or Afghanistan, once they have completed training.
As a immigrant, you are not compelled to serve in the US armed forces, however you will be admired by a great many people if you decide to go ahead and enlist. |

Only if your country is at war and you are ordered to do so. |

If you join the military, theirs a very good chance that you'll go to a combat zone. Or maybe you are just looking for a easy free ride in the U.S. |

Only if you join , and are deemed fit for Combat, Good Luck. |

Depends on what country's Army you join - it is the point of the Army. To protect it's country from domestic & foreign threats. If you do not want to go to war, the solution do not join military. |

If you joint the US Army, you will just have to follow orders. If the orders say that you are going to go to war, then that is where you'll be going. |

Well...if your country is involved in a war...then yes, joining the Army could very well get you sent to it. And, if you are in the Army when your country goes to war (whether its your country or George Bush who wants the war)...well, that's the nature of being a soldier, isn't it?
So, if you want to go into the Army and not get shot at....try a job like Medic, or a job that mainly pushes around paper. |

If you are thinking of serving in the US Army, you will definitely be sent to the war, either in Iraq or Afghanistan. It would be better to go to college first. |

You might be better off seeking another line of work. |

Depends on what country you are from. If you join then you may end up there. |

If you sign up, and the army needs more troops there, yes. You are 17, they will not take you. It is a volunteer force, you must volunteer for it, therefore you agree to go where they need you. |

Which army are you joining? It depends on the job you get. |

Who knows don't say where you are from
incomplete question, unanswerable as stated
Besides from your question your under educated and wouldn't be able to join Army in the USA
But still don't know where your from, some third world country I am sure would let the uneducated join. Uneducated and unwilling not needed or wanted in USA army |
