Do iron sights require you to close one eye?
Find answers to your legal question.

Do iron sights require you to close one eye?

And depending on the answer, would it be very difficult to aquire a target quickly with both eyes open when using standered iron sights?

I also hear that x1 reflex sights can be used easily with both eyes open due to the bright colored dot and your brain naturally focuses on that. Is this true?

Well yeah, at longer ranges I'd probably naturally close one eye for better view, but I'm talking small quarters, say up to 50 yards, would it be still effective with both eyes open then? I'd prefer not to have to react and close one eye and limiting my visibility too when in these areas.

for an accurate shot in iron sights its require to close one eye ,depends on your shooting style for me to acquire a target quickly in my case i try to center my body to the target and try to get sight alignment and sight picture as best as i can. that gives a pretty accurate shoot .

i dont know how the reflex works but its alot easier than iron sights when shotting on the move due you dont have to concetrate on the reflex at all you just see the red dot and shoot ,but its not as accurate at least in my case as iron sights when you get to 300-500 yards

you can shoot with both eyes open or one eye open depends on the shooter as for the cco it is preferred with both open
