People can't "turn" gay.

No, if they are gay they will be kicked out. If they are doing stuff like that it probably means they were gay before they even joined in the first place. This is the army, not prison and there will always be females somewhere around.

I worked with the elderly for many years. I didn't "turn old". I also worked with animals for a few years. I didn't "turn" into a cat or a dog. See how silly your theory sounds?

My husband is currently in the middle east. First of all, there are women in the military, so its not like there are ONLY men. Second of all, its not uncommon for men and women to cheat while they are deployed. Third of all, even if it is just a group of guys, they don't suddenly "turn gay". They've got plenty of other things to be worrying about. Like not getting blown up.

Im in a field artillery unit. ALL GUYS...and you could say we certainly LOOK gay from all the jokes, but thats a given... in fact its the guys that are scared to joke about being gay that we think are really queers.... but no.. i spent a year in korea with all guys and no one was gay over there.. now im washington and i definitely think a couple of the guys re really gay, but then again he doesnt joke.... "myth- busted"

Its not that men turn gay in the army. Even overseas. We are put in a certain mindset that nothing is off limits. Jokes turn sour and personal space disappears. Its all in good fun. And if you ask this cause a man is loving another man, then thats a whole different set of problems they are going through
