I want to start looking at my budget and i wanted to know if the military houses on base have internet?
Or do i have to call Comcast into the base to install it?
My friend says for internet only from comcast it's only 50 dollars, is there a military discount?

Military Housing comes with the basic needs, trash, water, electric, and gas. Be sure to include Phone, Cable and internet in your budget. In regards to Cable - there may be a "free" option with nothing but AFN channels and a few odds and ends depending on your location. So, set your budget, and set up the plan for your budget! |

Most base housing already has cable lines run to them. If you want to get cable then just call whatever company is local to that area you are living. You can also get a dish system from one of the numerous companies that are out there. Or you can go DSL since all housing areas have telephone lines run to them also. There is no permision needed to get regular cable, but sometimes you do have to get permission to setup a satellite dish.
You will have to pay for your monthly cable bill. The military does not pay it for you. Hope that helps you out a little bit. |

Most housing does not, Also if you get installed you might need a note from housing and if you decide to use a Dish you will also need renters insurance. |

Neither the Barracks or on-post housing provide any type of internet free of charge, it must be paid for.
Depending on the type of deal you get will depend on what you pay. Most places however do offer some sort of military discount. And if you get more than one service through them such as phone, cable, etc., it can be even cheaper. Also comcast might not exist where you are going so it might be another carrier.
