Do people lose weight in air force BMT?

Do people lose weight in air force BMT?

I'm just curious, I've heard some airmen say they actually gained weight due to the stress?
Which was it for you?
(I leave for BMT in a month, If I lost to much I will be underweight)

From what i've heard from people is that if your overweight, you lose weight and gain muscle and if your skinny you pack on muscle

Typically, heavy people lose weight, and light people gain weight.

my husband actually lost several pounds but he was already skinney when he first got into bmt... i saw him during half of his bmt cuz i was able to see him in thanksgiving but when he graduated he was back to his normal weight...

You will more than likely gain weight due to muscle mass. And if your really close to your minimal weight then you might want to get protein shakes and bars. u will be fine.
