No, you're not wrong, and there are actually people who believe that crap. Not that it has any validity, of course; the only reason they came in the first place was to get US out of THEIR back yards.

As long as we're over there the insurgents will continue to focus on our solders. The logistics is much easier for the insurgents to fight our solders there than to travel oceans to get to us. There are many other factors that prevent the insurgents from attack us at home (i.e. homeland security, restriction on visa are to name a few). Weâ€™re not only there to fight insurgents. Our politicians have their agendas (oil, stability, ect.). Also, we are sending a message that if you f@ck with us there will be consequences. Iâ€™m not saying things are going well over there. But we are making an effort and not being passive. Hope the we continue to kick a$s and get our boys home soon.

No one is thinking the insurgents will come here. It's the terrorists that could come her if we fail to keep them engaged where they are.

Then again, that would be a mistake on their part. Another attack here would end teh bellyaching, confusing and division coming from folks like you. Then again, I may be giving you too much credit.

They refuse to see that "they" have no weapons, no airforce, no army, no tanks, no ships or planes. They have no armaments, no leaders, no headquarters, no generals - no way to get here in any numbers that would require "fighting them here".

Of course, there is always rowboat. Do you suppose they could actually sneak into New York Harbor by rowboat and become suicide bombers? All 10 or 12 of them in that rowboat?

Well right now it makes logical sense for them not to attack the US on US soil. The US people are divided, blaming the government for all types of things, hate the President, why would they want to unite this divided group, the biggest threat to their plans when attacking US soldier in Iraq is doing more do divide this country than anything else? Right now its a battle of wills and patience.

I am not that foolish. I can't speak for anyone else on this but I have never believed it was about stopping terrorism.

For those of you who blindly gave a thumbs down you should know that I am a 100% disabled veteran of the Viet Nam war. I never believed it was about terrorism because I believed the lies they told us about Viet Nam and I am not foolish enough to fall for the same thing twice.
