Do soldiers who die in iraq go to hell?

Ever hear of the Holy Wars of major yester year...Wars are a part of history, people get killed....people die....I don't think they are going to hell because it is not all black or white. Do you kill or be killed? David slew Golitha did he go to hell? David went on to betray God, and yet as King he was considered a man of God's heart....beloved. God sees the Big Picture, and no one can second guess God's perception of the situation. I say, no.

It is complex. Soldiers die to save other people. And in the bible there is many wars. There are two answers to it.
1) Yes because they killed another man who did no wrong.
or the more holy approach,
2) In the this prayer,
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.

Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.

It says

As we forgive those who trespass against us,
witch means forgive those who have done wrong which includes killing another man. So in a way if they pray they may go to heaven. But first they must forgive their self for killing another man.

Depends on a person's religion. I know in Baptist/Christianity the only unforgivable sin is self death. I think you will not get the answer from no one. The only one who decicdes to goes to hell is God.

If you support the troops then you should not even be asking this question. These soldiers are giving up their lives for you and your freedoms........if your were God would they go to hell? I believe there is a special place in heaven for them.

No but the politicians that lie and misrepresent things to get their war of choice going might have a first class ticket. The soldiers are just following the orders of the commander in chief and his little band of thugs. I honestly don't know how Cheney, Bush and Rice sleep at night. They have caused a river of blood to run thru Iraq and the way they have treated America's best is a shame. Bush has already put them thru Hell.
That is proven by the huge rise in suicides by military members. Many are denied psychological care and sometimes cheated out of disability benefits. The way they are treated by our government is a shame. We lost one of our own in February and I know of the Hell he went thru during 3 tours in Iraq.

You did offend me. My son died in Iraq in April, so my pain is still raw. I know who my son was and he was a good man all around. He was doing his job, one he signed up for. He died for the same reasons Jesus did..for strangers rights. It was a sacrifice he willingly made. I think there is a special place for soldiers and it's nowhere near Hell.

Dieing in Iraq doesn't mean you killed somebody in Iraq. I must say I am offended. Not every soldier that goes over their kills somebody. The question you should be asking, in my opinion, is about your own immortal soul.

I believe that we are each responsible for our own actions and our own souls. Each person will have to face their own faith when they die whether it is in Iraq or crossing the street coming out of church on Sunday.

A lot of good people kill. Sometimes it is necessary. Murder is different. I personally believe that if you're a good person there is no need to go to hell. Everyone deep down knows if they are or aren't. No, soldiers who have killed will not go straight to hell for that.

NO, if you read the bible, you'll understand that God himself has even created armies. Our troops, are doing a good thing, by helping those who need it. We took down a regime which pledged harm to other countries, such as Israel, and our soldiers are giving their lives for the citizens freedoms. As a catholic, I look at that as self sacrifice, which is good in God's eyes.
