I'm just wondering because i have this book that says G36Cs' are popular among counter-terrorists. That makes me think that they choose their gun.

Army Special Forces ( the only real SF in the US) are trained in all kinds of foreign and domestic weapons, however they are only issued weapons in our inventory, like M4/M16 M107 M21/14 etc. |

Special Forces have access to the entire armory of the United States. What this means is that they are able to select pretty much any weapon(s) that they deem necessary for their mission, be it a foreign or domestic one. Keep in mind that this does not generally apply to the individual soldier, but to their individual units as a whole. They have the discretion to select what they need for a mission. |

All the SEALs I knew on active duty had a evac kit bag if they had to drop all and run for it. They mostly carried small 25 or 380 semiauto pistols in them. |
