If they are SEALs, they are from the U.S. Navy. There are no other SEALs. There are other special forces, but they are not called SEALs.

We are the only country to have SEALS first off. People may think they are the "best" because the media covers them the most in movies and such. When it comes to Direct Action missions, yes the SEALS are outstanding. BUT they are not well rounded in other areas.

The Green Berets, or Army Special Forces, are well more rounded than any Special Operational Force in the world. We are trained with cultural diversity, Direct Action, Foreign International Defense, Civil Affairs, Humanitarian Aid missions, Recon ops, etc. We are trained to speak languages of designated Areas of Operations, the SEALS are not.

Perhaps you should be more specific when asking such questions because every Special Operational Force has its own specialty.

you have the ONLY navy seals...however, the S.A.S. are the best elite force in the world..(ask any navy seal that has ever met them)

to be specific, the UK equivilent of the seals is the S.B.S. (Special Boat Service) branch of the S.A.S. Not much is known about them apart from the fact that they are very effective at what they do, as their actions are never reported to the media

Yes we do have the best NAVY SEALs in the world and yes there are other countries that have Navy SEALs such as ROK SEALs and im pretty sure theyre is a couple of others

Its not so much a flag waving exercise but it was a brilliant example of fine leadership by Obama, kill any hostage taker that doesn't yield to get the hostage back home safe at all costs. And the seals executed the operation perfectly. They got their man back safe. Now they know how the Somalis like to engage in lightening strikes maybe its time they were shown what a lightening strike was really like. Send them a couple of harriers their way. Its a pity the ac 130 spectre isn't a sea going plane. The fun that could be had with one of those babies circling over the somali motherships.
