Yes ,now that we are there we need to finish the job, not pull out or we could be back in ten years when another Bush worms his way in.History re-peats.

I don't believe that war is the answer to anything. It never has been. It just breeds more hate. The country under god as we put it gives the impression that God is on our side with this war. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Thou shalt not kill is thou shalt not kill. There is no clause that says. " Separation of church and state." When we meet our makers we will only learn then and then it will be too late for this lifetime. |

I don't think we should be there. |

Yes Mam. Locate Osama, and his insane crew, bring em' in dead or alive. I'd opt for dead, but hey, that's just me.
I just hate that this war is Viet Nam revisited, in my opinion. |

We as a country have an obligation to help the Iraqis because we are the ones that took out their "leadership". If we leave now the repercussions would be very dire in our future and we again would have major problems with them in the future. Lets finish Whart we started and then we can move out after their government, Police force, and military are in place to deal with their own people and problems. |

Yes you don't want to fight this war on are soil do you imagine {I.E.Ds} Improvised explosive devices or road side bombs going off in your neighbor hood on your way to work or school. How about your love one being kidnapped and beheaded in the name of god I says better there than here.I think George Bush was right to take the fight to the enemy. |

unfortunately the situation after Saddam didn't turn out as we expected---bad intelligence to blame,...however now we re in, we cant just leave ..we have to try to stabilise the country ..if its possible ? |

NO. I think if we'd done the job right the first time we wouldn't have had to go back now. I don't agree with our troops still being there, but I do support them for doing the job they've been ordered to do. I know the "reasons" we're there and while I don't agree with all of them, I do think that we along with the rest of the world need to do something to help the people of the area form a government that will listen to them all, not just one or two groups. |

I have served one tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom. If/when called upon, I will proudly serve another.
How quickly we forget. Embargos and the Food for Oil program were not working. For twelve years the UN imposed punishments on the Iraqi people for the sins of their leaders. Leaders that the people of Iraq had no power to remove. Saddam Hussein and his government were thumbing their nose at the UN and its myriad of resolutions. Even to the day of the invasion Saddam played the International community like a fiddle.
Yep. It is about oil. No question. Saddam Hussein made attempts to control the Kuwaiti oil fields as well as the oil fields on the Iran-Iraq border. If he were ot gain control over both, he would control enough of the world's oil production to have significant influence over the world economy which runs on oil.
Lastly, at this point in the game, we have a moral obligation to remain. We removed the national security structure. It is now our responsibility to reconstruct it. That is what is happening now. |

The US should get out of a country they invaded upon a lie and where they keep killing civilians because of this lie.
Iraki people is as people as any citizen of the US and their children and women are just like your mum and relatives. Would you like to see Irak come invade you because they say something that turns out to be a big fat lie and instead of apologising and leaving they stay there and kill your citizens?
No ONE likes that. |

well you have to look at it like this, If they came home now, what would happen. If we just backed off and left Iraq. Do you think all the terriost would just leave it at that no. It is okay for them to come over here and harm us, but we can't go over there and harm them. Personally I think we should take a BIG bomb and kill them all, but that would get us nowhere either. They have nuclear bombs, if we back off now I can only imagine what would happe.
Also read the bible this was ment to happen, it is in there for all you non-belivers. |

this is very hard. i do think that we have kinda over stayed our welcome there, but i dont think that we should just pick up and leave. we would leave the country in shatters, then we wouldnt be any better than them!!! u see, the USA has class, unlike some others....ohh BURN!!!! lol |

We had Saddam contained with the no fly zone.
We should have put our resources on Osama and then worried about Iran and North Korea.
This was a revenage/oil war. Because someone tired to kill his DADDY. Nothing else. This should have been finished durning the first invasion when it was justifed. |

I didn't think we should go to begin with. It's not for me to decide whether or not we should still be there. but it would be nice if I could figure out what our objective is. |

no we should not be there based on facts that they were not involved with the 911 bombings. |

My opinion is that we cannot back out, but the war was started on the basis of lies, so it shouldn't have been. The US should have finished the job the first time, when it was more clearly justifiable. |
