Do you believe 9/11 was an inside job?

For a long time, I believed the plausible story that the media sold us. As I've done further research I've become more skeptical. I've become more cynical considering the fact that all the buildings that collapsed were owned by Larry Silverstein. Maybe George W. Bush doesn't have enough brain cells to orchestrate something that complex, but I'm certain he at least was involved. What do you think?

I saw a special that suggests that NBC doctored the footage to a freeze frame and ewnhanced the video, instead of showing the natural actual footage...I don't like that bit....but I DO think that Cheney was aware of the imminent threat, as well as George Bush Sr.,and maybe Karl Rove, but the threat was played down to George Jr, and sorry other answerer, I don't believe you have to be smart to be president..your handlers have to be..I think certain cabinet officials anticipated it happening, and used it as a good excuse to invade the Middle East, and sent George Jr. off on vacation, to make sure he wouldn't be around when it happened.,.so from that point of view..yes..an inside job..9/11 made certain people in the Administration very rich and influential, as well as their cronies...

I think you need to post this BS in another section.

I believe it as much as there is evidence, proof, testimony or motive to support that belief.

That's a "no", if you didn't catch the drift.

Anyone who says 911 was an inside job falls in several catagories

1. Stupid as a box of rocks

2. Troll having fun

3. People selling books or making movies for #1 above.

As a pilot with a minor in engineering, I do not believe any story but the official story. All of the pieces fit absolutely perfect from a professional point of view.
I am actually surprised that it was not worse, since the planes hit the buildings with 7 times the force a 15kt nuke would hit the entire side of the building with.
I find it repulsive that some professionals have given themselves to the conspiracy nuts when they know the truth. One that particularly makes me mad is those who claim that explosives were used. In order to take out the supports, they would have had to place explosive charges the size or small motorcycles on each of the EXTERNAL and visible supports. It would have taken hundreds of tons of explosives.
When comparing the aircraft strike to weapons of any kind, it dwarfs every known weapon on earth for pure concentration of force. The next most effective steel penetrating weapon, called a sabot (cannon) round, puts in the general area of 1 million pounds per inch (psi). The aircraft put about 14 times that force on the immediate area of the collision. This is enough force to cut through a tank with ease, let alone vaporize the wings and punch the fuselage of the aircraft through the supports and out the other side.
What we do not know is exactly how the building withstood these forces, but what we do know is that the flexibility of the steel played huge role in both saving the building from instant collapse, and causing the building to collapse from the heat of 5-8k gallons of burning fuel.
From the aviation point of view, the aircraft was guided extremely poorly and flown by someone who did not even know how to work the basic FMS, which pretty much involves entering 3-4 characters and hitting two or three buttons. Even private pilots are usually pretty knowledgeable about them. The 911 pilots were not. Without a doubt, no professionals would have sent such green pilots on a mission like this. Its absolutely amazing that they found their target.
Many people criticize the government for not shooting down the aircraft, like the US has some awesome radar and missile defense. It did not and still does not. Tracking aircraft within the US is done almost solely by transponders, and those transponder give pilots the ability to report a hijacking without saying a single word. Unfortunately, most existing transponders can be turned off with a flip of a switch. All modern transponders cannot be turned off completely, which makes intercepting the aircraft much easier.
When it comes to the actual fighters themselves which were not able to find the airliners in time, they can only sustain slightly over mach 1, compared to just under mach 1 for the airliner, so in the hour it took to get in the area of the hijacking, the airliner was able to fly hundreds of miles in any direction. The fighters just did not have the capability to scan such a large area. They were just as blind as anyone else.
So, as a professional, I can guarantee you that there was no inside job, at least not involving anybody but the terrorists and whoever sent them.

Nope.

There are too many holes, logic flaws and simple ignoring of contrary data in the conspiracy theories.

For example - the conspiracy theorists focus on one blurry video of the airliner hitting the Pentagon and ignore the (literally) hundreds of eyewitnesses who watched the plane hit the building.

Another example is the videos that they claim show explosives being used in the WTC. Anybody who has actual experience with explosives (like myself) can tell just from the videos that those clouds were _not_ produced by any form of explosive.

Really, the Pentagon was owned by Larry Silverstein?

Seriously, skepticism requires careful and impartial examination of the available evidence. Other than the fact that Silverstein happened to own the entire complex what do you have? Anything? Anything at all? Owning and insuring a building by itself does not constitute motive to kill 3,000 people. All commercial building owners insure their property and there are certainly far, far easier ways he could have conducted an insurance scam. The other part of being a good skeptic is keeping Occam's Razor in mind.

This whole "Larry did it" conspiracy theory has a really feeble basis. On the PBS documentary "America Rebuilds" Larry is heard to say "pull it" before building 7 collapsed. The Conspiracy nuts claim (without any evidenciary basis) that "pull it" is what building demo experts say before they light the charges to bring down a building.

People actually in that business have stated publicly and emphatically that term is not used. Larry Silverstein's spokesperson has said he was referring to the firefighting operation going on in the building at the time.

Further evidence that this wasn't some ridiculously over-complex insurance scam is that Silverstein didn't take the money and run. The insurance money is being used to rebuild on the site. Scam artists don't rebuild. They run. Occams Razor

George Bush isn't that dumb. He DID become president after all.

Just because people make fun of him doesn't mean he is stupid.

You must be smart to become president no matter who you are.

And anyways. If it was an inside job there would be more evidence.

The government isn't competent enough to keep any conspiracy secret.

Conspiracy theories are one of America's greatest exports! I think if you took a long term view you 'could' say it was an inside job. Decades of political and covert manipulation by the U.S. in the Middle East helped to create a group of very angry and disenfranchised people.

I believe it was an inside job!

I googled it, and discovered the guys who helped NASA fake the Appolo landings where used for allot of the video footage from that day, making it look like planes hit the buildings (even the live stuff, they are good!), and that it was not an explosion from inside. The guys who helped hide the governments involvement in both the Keneedy Assasinations were the main guys who helped cover ALL governemnt tracks involving it (They are pros since nobaody has found one yet!). And the For-Fathers tried to let every know it was going to happen, that is why they designed the White House the way they did, and planted those trees in just the right spots, so when you fold a $20 bill it lets you know it is going to happen.

Anybody who really believes that a bunch a Fanatics, living in caves 9,000 miles away, who cut off peoples heads, and sacrifice their children and call it having a good time, would ever do something like that, let alone actually accomplishment regardless of the Hundreds of Millions of Daollars they have, and the huge holes that where in our Homeland security is a nut!

So in conclussion to you WAKE UP!

I have an answer and my personal feelings on 9/11 but that's another conversation and I must say its a reason I joined the military or whatever but I feel that if the question is on your mind then it might have some truth to it and I feel you should go with your inner guts. Some peoples say no O no not our president some say hell yeah he did it, regardless of what happen and who did what...it happened and we are living the aftermath of it so "expect the best and prepare for the worse"..No matter what I'M STILL AN AMERICAN AND ANYBODY ELSE THAT WANTS TO JOIN ME---- IM AN AMERICAN AND DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!!

Natis R
I dont think he's smat enough for that, but maybe someone in another position in the white house. I watched a movie like 3 years ago about the 9/11 attacks, and i guess i believe the whole traditional story about it. Idk though.

You have bad information. The buildings were owned by the Port Authority and leased to Silverstein. No, he didn't make a profit, he lost money and what the heck makes people think he would be allowed to pocket the insurance money in the first place? He has to rebuild with that--DUH--HE HAD A LEASE. It's simple arithmetic--insurance paid 4.55 billion and it's costing 9 billion to rebuild. If you are reading those Internet sites you are reading crap put together by kids who have no connection to the attacks.

i dont think its an inside job... i KNOW that it is!!

c'mon isn't it obvious?!
