First set (in boot), the money will be deducted from your pay. Afterward, you will pretty much have to buy your own. But once a year, you will receive "uniform allowance," which should be for uniform, not booze or strippers. You should be able to get replacement set of "coveralls, cammies, and boots" through your command for free once a year (more if you know the "right" people). |

Yes. Officers pay out of pocket, enlisted get first seabag deducted from pay. |

free.....wait what does that mean!!!! hahaha...u get clothing allowence but that dont cover much i mean u have ur dress whites working whites pt uniform dress blues working blues coveralls if you need them and wow i could go on....ur rockers and all that it does cost...i make my husband buy more than one pair of each also less washing and ironing on my part.anyways good thing they are shoving all working uniforms into one uniform less clothing inspections!!! |

When you go to boot camp they take it out of your first paycheck, but it's cheaper than the actual cost of going out and buying them seperately. |

Concur with the above answer. It comees out of your frst paycheck but, you get a clothing allowance every year to off set this cost. |

Yes you do. It comes out of your paycheck in boot camp before you even get it. |

Your first are issued (pay but do get a large allowance back and deducted from your pay) you receive a yearly allowance to pay for them, but often that doesn't cover the entire cost. For Officer's there is no yearly uniform allowance it is all out of pocket. |

you pay for them. enlisted personnel, do however, get a uniform allowance at several times during the career to help offset the costs.
Officers must pay for everything completely out of pocket. In fact, when the new uniforms go into effect, they must pay OOP to buy them, but enlisted personnel will get at least some of the cost reimbursed. |

Oh you definietly pay for them... you don't pull any cash out of your pocket directly but you DEFINITELY pay for them. Long hours, crappy pay, working with idiots, etc. etc. etc. |
