Hasn't everyone? My grand parents did it to my parents, and they did it to me and i passed it off to my kids. With my kids, they have not been felt to believe that I have lied to them, they look at it this way, now they know who is really Santa and they can get exactly what they want, instead of what Santa thought they liked..lol.... |

They also don't believe in the tooth fairy, but they still get a dollar if they leave their tooth under the pillow and we still do Easter egg hunts, but they don't think some magic bunny hid them in the yard...etc. |

No, I used to tell my son when he was alive that Santa wasn't real. He was 2. I got so much flack from people about this. First of all, Christmas isn't celebrated for the real reason in most families anyway. So, how can Santa be real too. I think it's a big farse, and we grew up without santa, and it didn't kill us. |

it's not a lie as far as I'm concerned, I believed it till I was 13 and am still happy parents tell their kids about him. If you want everybody to tell the truth all the time, the Liberials are doomed. |

Actually Santa does exsist because you are Santa. So you don't have to lie to your children only there usually aren't elves that make the toys that you buy. So when they realize that "Santa" isn't real you can tell them that he is because you deliver the presents, |
