Absolutly.
Iran has already said that once they get a nuke they will destory Israel. If you look at the comments from Iran, their goal is not protection but to actully trigger the end of the world... no joke, read up on it. They want to cause a world war that will destroy the earth and bring "Allah" from heaven.
The rest of the world can not wait till this happens, because if we do nothing then Israel will HAVE to do something, and then we end up in an even bigger war because Israel will be attacked by every other arab nation for attacking Iran.
China and Russia are just causing trouble as usual because they want that oil money and the techology contracts... just like they did in Iraq. |

If Iran has the capability to produce nuclear power, they should be allowed to use it. After all, they say it's for power production only and not weaponry. And why should Israel be the only country to have nukes anwyay (if indeed Iran makes weaponry)?
We are pretty stretched as it is, being in Afghanistan and Iraq. Attacking Iran would not be in our best interest, especially when China AND Russia are against any sanctions or US action. Not a very smart move on our part, that's for sure. But hey, I wouldn't be surprised if Israel did something... again. |

Yes, if the US is willing to implement the draft. Now I can imagine that most people will say no since they could potential be sent over to a foreign land to weave through roadside bombs. So the right answer is no. We are already engage in a fake war that the American people endorse through their support for the Bush administration,we can't afford to wage another war without a draft. Considering America has about 12000 nuclear warheads, what exactly give it the right to preach to other countries about nuclear proliferation?
by the way, you do know that the Iranian president is democratically elected? It's strange that when America dislikes the party that gets democratically voted into power (such as Hamas), they're scorned.
What about Saudi Arabia? Is Saudi Arabia any less of a threat than Iran? They oppress and terrorize their people, yet we treat them as friends. What exactly is America's stance? |

I think patience with Iran may be our best bet. From what I've read about Iran, the next generation of Iranians (the teenagers and young adults) are pretty fed up with the current leadership. They want to be more like Western civilization (blue jeans, rock & roll, etc.). I think it might be a better approach to 'test' their air defenses by dropping leaflets urging this younger generation to 'stand up and be heard' so to speak and encourage revolution from within. |
