Of coure he had them. We gave them to him. |

WMDs were found. Five hundred weapons using sarin and mustard gas were discovered in 2006. And he had the delivery systems for them. We also found plans showing he wanted to restart his nuclear weapons programs as soon as he was able. He probably did move munitions to Syria, though. |

Maybe whatever the case he was not a saint, burn in hell Saddam |

The one that makes us looks like fools are our politicians...making this election look like a soap opera or a talk show...
Just ask anyone overseas (specially from countries with higher level of educated individuals)...they laugh at us! |

17 UN Resolutions were broken because he refused to allow inspections without giving a reason.
Used weapons on his own people during the 1980's.
Saddam used WMD on Iran during Iraq-Iran War
Mass convoys were seen leaving Iraq before the 2003 invasion.
Gulf War Syndrome is suspected of being caused by a previously unknown chemical plant being blown up with soldiers down wind
Old WMD have been found during Iraqi Freedon (OIF). (these 'old' WMD are from the 1980's NOT as one poster put WWI, when Iraq wasn't even around and the Ottoman Empire didn't have that kind of tecnology or any money to finance that kind of research).
There is plenty to say that Saddam Hussein was producing chemical weapons that had the potential to be WMD and the media dismisses what has been found as not of importance. There were 12 years of inspections that failed to ever find those weapons "not of significance" that should have been disarmed under the inspections. Under the resolutions ALL weapons of mass destruction were to be disassembled, not just "new ones." |

Yes and did a good job of it.
I like how all the yellow cake was found and dismiss as well.
Can't forget all the Democrats before Bush also believe that Saddam had WMDs.
Yet I am so foolish to believe I can ever hold liberals accountable to their word.
As indicated by the number of thumbs down. |

yes he did. he began shipping them out of his country when we came in. probably not to make us look like fools (though in the eyes of many it did) he wanted to protect his resources by getting them to a safe place where we couldnt touch them. now his allies have them...awesome... |
|

Saddam did have wmd's because we gave them to him and he used them against his own people. |
|

asp2write

Hmmm, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say yes, since he used them against Iran in the 80's. He killed entire villages of his own people testing them.
Now we go before the crappy UN and show our evidence, and wait for a vote, how long do you think it takes to move a mobile WDM factory to a bordering, US hostile, country? |
|

Mr. Bitter
 |
Yes I do think that.
Here's two facts to support that theory.
1. During the first Gulf War the Iraqi Air force flew it's planes to Iran. (despite their poor relations) The Iranians kept the planes.
2. An improvised landmine was found that had been made out of a binary chemical weapon artillery shell. Sure, that's only one shell, but according to the U.N. mandate it shouldn't have existed at all.
and just ask yourself this. How long did it take the Soviets, Americans, and British to find all of the Nazis secret weapons at the end of World War 2?

Yea, I do. We wasted tooooo much time going in there. We gave him time to move them to other counties like Iran, Syria . . . =( . |
|

fufu

they were sent to syria...he had plenty of time to send them there while we were screwing around with the u.n. |
|

Boo
 |
I don't think I know, and he did not get rid of all of them. He didn't do it to make us look like fools, he did it to try and save his sorry ***. |
|

NAZGUL
|
We gave him to much notice that we were going to invade, he moved 99% of them to Syria to hide them. You are not told everything by the military because the world can not handle the whole truth. Lack of the Military verifying or denying the retrieval of WMDs to the world does not mean none were found. The world had proof ( WMDs are NOT JUST Nuclear in nature They include Biological, chemical, conventional explosives), Saddam's gassing of the Kurds was proof of WMDs!

We knew he had that gas that President Reagan gave him and Saddam used on the Curds. |

the Ol' Foolosifer

Yes I think he had them and I believe they still exist but are well hidden and Al Queida knows where they are, and they are waiting to see how the election goes before they act.
AMERICA, first and foremost! |

No; if he had them he fooled John Ritter and Hans Blix much earlier. |

Yes I do. |

No - as a vet of Storm I knew that had nothing before we began. Why do you think they attacked our M1's with dump trucks? The only thing they had was expired chemical weapons that Rhumsfeld sold them back in the Iraq, Iran war. We where lied to. No doubt in my mind! Look up hells highway during operation storm and learn about how much we eliminated then tell me if you think they had anything. |

Saddam didn't make us stay In Iraq, Bush did that all by himself. If he looks like a fool it's because he is. |
|

Chances68
|
Nope. Read Trainor's "Cobra II." The evidence is fairly clear that Sadfdam did not have weapons of mass destruction. Bush did all that was necessary for us to look like fools, and he's still at it! |
|

DOOM
|
No. He just did an excellent job of convincing Iran (and Bill Clinton) that he did have them. |
|

You'll thank us in a year
|
No, I don't. |
|

Ingrid
|
I do not think so. If he had, he would have also sold them to other countries hating us. And there is no proof of that either. |
|

M.E.
|
No. Not to say he didn't want them... |
|

P.P.G
 |
Nah, there would be evidence of the movement of the WMDs and there was satelites looking over Iraq.
Looks like a badly made conspiracy theory to me. |

blackjoe77

I think he had not them. It was used as a reason to invade Iraq. |
