i dont think it will ever be called ww3, i think it will just be lots of little personal wars like we're doing now, just plus some more. it wont be like the axis v allies. too many countries have nuclear weapons now, and if all the "bad guys" get together with their bombs, we can't have all the "good guys" getting together with theirs or else we'll just kill everyone in one shot. i think military personel like the whole "search and destroy" a little too much for that now. my step bro was in iraq and afganastan for 2 tours, and he got to fly little remote control planes that bomb things. he was like a kid with a remote control plane. THATS what war is coming too. everything is automated.
as for it being on american soil, i think we'll shoot down anything that gets too close. we might get a few missiles from china or something like that, but thats just gonna hit california, and really, they can use a new start over there anyways. lol.
sorry. that was rude. but i live 20 miles outside of DC. if they get hit by any nuke, i'm gone too. |

It has already happened. Sept. 11, 2001 was the beginning of World War 3. |

In all of recorded history no country has been able to stay in power indefinitely. I am sure the United States is no exception. I believe it will fall from within. There is no need for a foreign invader when we are doing such a good job of destroying each other. Falling from within is how Rome fell. It was caused by the slow but sure loss of morals, much like the United States today.
If there is WWIII it is most likely to be started from the Middle East. The West has already demonstrated restraint in the use of nuclear weapons. Iran has sworn to use them when they have them. Israel will be Iran’s first target. When that bomb goes off Iran will disappear in a cloud of radio active dust. Will that start WWIII your guess is as good as mine. |

unfortunately yes....but I pray not.....the next one will be nuclear based and very ugly. |

Other than Iraq and some of the other sand monkeys, I would hope that the rest of this planet has better sence than to "Push The Button". If anyone does and the worlds superpowers start pushing buttons, I will tell you this much. You can just stick your head between the legs and kiss your rearend goodbuy. Noone will survive it if it's a world war, and those that do will die from radiation poisioning shortly thereafter. I am not going to say yes or no to weither or not that I think it will happen. What I think is going to happen really doesn't matter, now does it. We can only pray that it doesn't. |

the term World War means that the entire world is the batten ground.. The war on terror has taken the world to almost even country so far. So yes I do belive that we will see an esculation of this war to the point of the inclusion of the entire world |

as they say:anything is possible. however, i feel it is improbable that enemy ground troops(actual military, not cowardly terrorists) will ever be fighting the U.S. on U.S. soil. |

war is caused by economic reasons and with earth's natural resources set to deplete in the next 50 years or so, i'd say that there is a good chance of a ww3 happening around that time... |

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. I'm not afraid of being attacked from the outside, I'm afraid of the US's inevitable downfall for not taking care of our own. Numerous health and social services programs have been cut to fund this war. As long as the average American citizen stays weak, the government (not only ours, but other's as well) can invade. We need to show some good old-fashioned American values and put more emphasis on community here, in our towns. WWIII will come in it's own time, will you be ready is the real question. |

WWIII might happen with in the next 2-4 years. N.Korea is testing nukes, and it is not looking ngood for the U.S. if they keep having sucsessful tests. |

Usually people use the term WWIII to refer to a full-scale nuclear exchange, or at the very least a nuclear attack.
I hope not to see it in my lifetime. I fear it's possible, maybe even likely within the next ten years - yes, in a US city.
I REALLY hope I'm wrong. |

WW3 is already here, and they did attack our soil. But to invade us, I don't think so. |

well Rome crashed and u did had the 9/11 event so yeah its very possible for America to be invaded and for a WW3 in our life time although i hope for none or at least for one after our time. |

WWIII has already come and gone, depending on who you ask. According to some, Afghanistan/Iraq is WW4 or 5, with international conflicts as Bosnia-Herzigovina and Ethiopia/Sudan coming before. A "World War" would contain contingents from at least three continents (your pick of Europe, Austraila, Asia, North and South America, and Africa) involved in the theater. |

American soil is Israel. In the radical Muslim Arab mind. yes, we will see WWlll in my lifetime. We have a idiot in the White House who has never been in war and who knows nothing about war. |
