nah...it won't be called that. I think the last war is right before Christ comes back. Well, yeah on the other hand the whole world will be involved in that so OK it will be a world war but it just won't be called that.

And it is nuclear weapons. No, I am not being a smart alec. Heck I have troubleee with werds sometimes to. :)

EDIT: Do I think the human race will survive? Only those who believe in God will survive. Read the Bible see what it says and don't start with the last book of the Bible it just might scare the pants off of you. - Again booing is allowed. Everyone is entitled to think what they may. Kinda' sad in a way.....

no it is not possible, it is a definite thing. If there was a one and a two, why wouldn't there be three?
the human race will not be wiped out by a world war though, as it wasn't wiped out by that before. If humans survived world war one and two, why wouldn't they survive three?

With conflict and nuclear weapon developments these days, i say anything is possible.

Well there is such this as self-fulfilled prophecies. But no, most countries like the US and China know that the usage of nuclear weapons would be met with reprisal attacks from the counter.China knows that if it were to launch a nuke to the US, the US would throw 50 more back, and vise versa. Thats why most conflicts are fought with conventional weapons (aside from cost). Common warfare practice, if your enemies aren't doing it, why should you? Take WWII, Hitler didn't use gas because he knew what it was like and the Allies weren't using it. But had one side used it, the other would unleash their arsenal upon the other.Theres probably a good reason why Bin Laden has used more extreme weapons.

It is possible but not likely. It is likely that nuclear powers will attack someone with nuclear weapons especially if Iran gets them. They are much more likely than all nations combined that currently possess them to use them as a first strike. It wouldn't likely be as extensive as previous world wars but there could easily be an Iranian led coalition that could take power if BO became president and does what he promises. Most of the Arabs would then need to arm with Nukes and there is no telling what Israels position would be, right in the middle with enemies on multiple fronts.

Well, it will undoubtly be a nuclear war.

We're not quite perfect friends yet, but we've got treaties and were allies for the most part.

However, an accidental laucnh (and retaliation) is possible.

The American nuclear missiles are aimed at the sea. So in case of an accidental launch, unless you're a very unlucky sailor, no harm done.

The Russian missiles, however, are still targeted at their cold war targets.

Both sides have a sortof nuclear briefcase. A portable terminal for activating the missiles. The computer chips inside are not replaced, and the missile detection system on both sides is wearing, as they have low priority now.

This incresases the chance of a false alarm or accidental launch.

And if Russia has an accidental launch, and other countries think it was intentional, we get all out nuclear war.

It's certainly possible. But I wouldn't call it likely.

There is always a possiblity of a world war three and with the advent of neuclear weapons it's getting more likely. yet with the relations that the countries have we might be lucky enough to never see another world war.
