Do you think in the future there will be a world with out wars?

NEVER.

The human animal, depite his civilized pretentions, is still and will always be an animal, driven by his animal instincts for survival and success. We are as naturally violent as ALL OF NATURE IS.

Only when we finally come to embrace our violence as a natural form of our existence, and wars become a no-rules uncivilized all-out carnage of total destruction and brutality, that's when we have peace. Because that's when the human animal recognizes that it isn't worth fighting, for mutual benefit.

Our biggest problem throughout history is whenever societies try to have "civilized" warfare. That makes the fighting last a lot longer, nurtures future hostilities, and allows act of wars to seem "manageable".

If going to war meant 1 million of your citizens, including your brothers, sisters, parents, and children, would be killed by expectation and definition, that's when peace becomes preferable.

It's exactly why, during the Cold War, not a single nuclear missile was launched by the USSR or the USA. For the first time in history, peace was preferable to war.

You can't fight a war with rules. It isn't natural.

No. As long as man exists, so will war. It's almost as if we are drawn to it as a species.

In my opinion, there will never be a world without wars, because of the varying opinions, and varying personalities.

There will always be wars. Maybe not between countries, but there will never be perfect harmony. Man will always fight his enemy, even if it's a futile war. It's just the way we are.

there will never ever be a time when there isnt conflict in this world. the reason is simple. human beings differ for a vast array of reasons. they always will. its what makes us all human. world peace is a myth.. and a childish one at that.

I think that as long as we live, there will be some type of war some where in the world. War has never helped anyone. People have been fighting for thousands and thousands of years only to bring death to mankind. I believe that when there is absolute world peace, the world will come to an end. Unfortunately we have not lived in a warfree world.

No.. as long as people are different, and people have a desire to be the best, or to have power.. then no.

And honestly, if we are ever in a world where there is no such thing as war, then it would be a world where everyone is exactly the same and no one has any ambition. It would be a nice thought.. no war.. but it would be a boring world if everyone were exactly the same..

Its weird to say, but i would not want to live in a world where war was not possible.
I want a world where wars don't happen, but i dont want a world where wars can't happen

I hope so, but I am pretty sure it won't happen. It is just human nature to fight with other humans. I think there is a chance there will be less wars, but I think there will always be wars.

everyone wants to be the leading nation or power so war has to exist. its not good for anything cause we will never achiever world peace, but humans are greedy and selfish. so whether its the future or present war will always exists.

The wars I see are caused by pride-- "My nation or politics or culture or heritage is better than yours, so I'm going to shove my (fill in with option of choice) down your throat till you die or admit you're wrong and accept my way of life!!"

I have one thing to say to that mindset- gag reflex!

People don't like to be forced to do stuff, and people don't like to be told they're wrong....

As soon as the leaders of nations pull their heads outa their butts and get over themselves (and their egos and greed) and decide that it's ok for the neighboring countries to...
govern as they see fit
live as they see fit
believe as they see fit
.. to even exist!...

Then a lot of the national-level conflicts I see would end.

But humble pie is bitter and not everyone is taught about the sweet aftertaste.

River...Nostradamus was a ridiculous fool. If you really look at his "predictions" it takes one hell of an imagination to think that he got anything on that was more than obvious predictions like "the sun will come out tomorrow" by Annie.
