No.
The USA, Europe and the UN are too scared about upsetting the Arabs, who have all the cheap oil.
Example: The UN does not consider Israel part of the Middle East Group but rather part of the "Europe and other Areas Group."
Example: In the US military command Central Command is the overall US military command in charge of its forces in the Middle East, except for Israel. Israel is part of the European Command.
Example: Not one nation has ever signed a mutual defense pact with Israel, meaning not one nation has pledged to come to the aid of Israel if it is about to be over run by the Arabs.
All are examples of how people bend over to keep the Arabs happy.
The most the USA will do is to do as it did in 1973, sending massive arms to Israel to fight. Except in that war Israel was fighting a number of Arab nations, this time they are just fighting some terrorists so they probably will not need a massive influx of weapons.
And if anyone intervenes on the OTHER side, Israel will kick their butts. Egypt, Jordan, Lebonon and Syria all know it. But there is a possibility Iran will do something, in which case Israel will have the perfect reason to take out Iran's nuclear assets, as Bush would like to do. Obama could come into office with the whole Iran problem taken care of by Israel. I am sure he will boo hoo a lot over that. |

No, I don't think there's any need of that. The Israelis have always held their own, even when heavily outnumbered and outgunned and facing fearsome odds. |

There is no reason to. Israel has an extremely powerful military. Their airforce outranks the Royal Airforce. The U.S. helped France without trying to gain anything ignore that lil kid he's ignorant and doesn't know what he's talking about. Them messing with Israel is like messing with a giant. Israel has always outwitted the enemy even when the odds were greatly against them. |

It was the Hamas thugs who started it by drawing first blood. their rocket attacks into southern Israel is taken lightly by the International Community. It seems that they are condoning the Hamas attacks. Does it take for children to die from these attacks by Hamas to bring the International Community to it senses. If there's an end to this stupid attack, Hamas must cease the rocket attacks and if not Israel should annihilate them from the face of the Earth and along the way Palestinians caught in the crossfire. |

Only if i gets really bad. Israel and Palestine are like brothers. They fight constantly but usually work it out themselves but sometime daddy needs to break it up. |

Israel has been able to hold their own pretty well. So I doubt it. |

We have been here many times before, and Israel has always gone it alone. We do help with logistical and intelligence information, and we wouldn't hesitate if someone like Russia or China decided to jump in.
The weapons we have sent Israel are as modern and state of the art as they get. With these weapons and the well trained army it has, Israel will not be asking for military support. |

Probably, and rightly so. Israel is being attacked by a group of terrorist thugs. But I think Israel can take care of itself. |

Yes if it is beneficial to their interests. Having an ally in that region is pretty beneficial so any action that threatens their sovereignty would probably cause action.
Of course I assume you mean military intervention. Diplomatically, everyone and their dog are trying to intervene in some capacity. |

god lets hope not - that'll just piss off the Arabs even more and likely get us involved in a war with Iran |

Sooner or later, someone will have to step in and end the nonsense. This is pretty darn stupid, especially after all these years. |

I doubt it, but it is very possible. |

I doubt it. The US usually only goes into wars if there is something material that they can gain from it. And I don't think that the U.S. would gain any land or anything like that either. But who knows. |
