Do you think we need a Civil War?

This question comes up a lot on Y!A and every time I see it, I feel it is a requirement (on my part) to set this record straight.

Revolutionary wars are won by the people. Civil wars are won by the oppressive government. The last thing America needs is another Civil war. Take from that what you desire to interpret, where as my position is on this subject.

We already had one. It was the bloodiest war this country has ever fought. I don't want to go through that as a country AGAIN. We're supposed to learn from history, not repeat it.

Nobody needs war. War is what we must do to protect our country from terrorists.

Not within the US, no. However war is forever imminent because people can not peacefully settle their differences. Their ignorance and stubbornness prevents them from accepting others that are different from them.

Nope. We have had a mixed government and economy for more than a century, so clearly you support socialism in minor ways...otherwise, good luck getting to your job without public roadways, etc. We don't have a dictatorship or high taxes. We have the third lowest taxes by nation in the world.

Did we have a civil war when bush messed up everything? No! Obama won.. you conservatives need to get over it. Its been 3 damn months and you guys are already acting like its the end of the world. And coming from a socialist... Obama isnt even close....
