Absolutely. Except, and here's the kicker....women are NOT held up to same standards as men. Women scream equality and then refuse to play by the rules. All Americans should be REQUIRED to serve in military OR do an equal amount of community service as a part of their citizenship. As far as women in the military...what a joke. Most (I SAY MOST>>>NOT ALL) do not meet the same standards as men. They are not required to run as fast or with the same amount of weight in their rucks, they get special exceptions for being pregnant. When my hubby was in army, all the girls did was have babies..they hardly ever worked and then got out as if they had fulfilled their contracts. If a women had to cover a man in the field, could she run as fast, shoot as well and carry as much? How many women in military today could pull a 200 lb. man up off the ground and carry him like most men could do to their female counterparts? Woman need to sign up and play by the rules as they are written. Oh, yeah, and I think women who are in military should have to sign a contract thatthey will not get pregnant while enlisted or risk losing their enlistment. Career militray women should have to take a sabatical to get pregnant, like the rest of us do. You can't defend a country and rely on a certain number of personnel when some of them get preggy just to avoid deployment!!! Oh, and by the way..I AM A FEMINIST!

As long as men have to register for the draft, so should women. After all, wasn't that part of what Women's Liberation was all about?

On the surface I agree with your statement.

beneath the surface, If women are drafted, (and put in combat) one conflict like WWII, would eliminate an entire generation of our population.
The ramifications of such a depopulation would be like sending us back to the 1800's as far as population.
The child bearing years average out to be 18-26.
The same age group for selective service.

Yes, If women can be in the military then they should be able to be drafted. And I agree it's time for our men and women to come home.

Definantly not. I'm all for equal rights, but women just weren't made physically to be in war. If they are caputured they are eaisly taken advantage of.

the draft should be abolished.

carter started it for political reasons in the 70s and reagun promised to abolish it as a campaign promise, but did not.

I do not because that means young couples would have to find somewhere to send their children if there ever was a call up. I am an Airman and a female and I really believe that most woman are not able to handle the pressures of the military. It honestly was something that at least 75% percent of the woman I know could not handle and if they were calling people up then that would be way too serious for the majority of woman to handle.

yes they should register. Woman wanted equality for over 100 yrs. but when it comes to them getting hurt for there country it's a bad thing. If a woman can and will pick up a gun and kill for their country i would love to have the female wathcing my back.
