They're the ones who did the operation and rescue, so good on 'em.
However, a lot of credit goes to people who kept cool heads, keeping Phillips safe while they tried to find a negotiated agreement, allowing time for the ships to maneuver into rescue mode.
Also, it only came to gunfire because they determined that Phillips was in "imminent danger" with guns pointed directly at his head. |

For the rescuing of captain phillips, all the credit goes to the US Navy, and navy Seals.
They did a great job.
but in the whole situation overall, captain Phillips is also a hero.
He sacrificed his safety for the crew of the Maersk Alabama.
All i can say is, the US is home to a lot of brave and courageous people. |
