No, America does NOT think it will help to send more troops.
Americans overwhelmingly oppose any escalation of this war:
A new Gallup poll taken this past weekend shows that support for President Bush's troop escalation did not gain any ground, despite an all-out White House publicity push (it remains stuck at 38% approval). The survey also revealed majority support for a congressonal resolution opposing the "surge" -- and a U.S. pullout within a year.
Support for such a resolution is strong, with 61% backing that. Asked if congress should try to block the deployments, such as by denying funding, a still significant 47% back that action, with 50% opposing it.
A total of 56% want a quick pullout -- with 19% advocating "immediately" and another 37% in a year's time. Only 13% say "send more troops." |

How long are we going to continue doing the same thing expecting different results?
I am not for it! |

I wish it would-without the loss of any more lives--but I know it won't. Even if we stopped the violence now, it would be chaos as soon as we leave the country because we cannot solve the underlying issue, which is religious. The Sunnis and Shiites have disputed the true heirship of Mohammad for about 800 years. |

IT is not America.
it is GWB. He is not there to resolve a dam thing. He is there to steal more oil and make "war time" profit. Funny, it isn't even a war but an invasion. |

It's easy to critiize when you don't have any stake in an issue. However, the question here is really whether the Iraqi people are willing to give over their propensity for revenge in order to save their country and themselves. As my grandfather used to say: "revenge is sweet but it bears bitter fruit". |

There's only two options...1. get out...or 2. sack up and send more bombs and less people...kill eveything |

no, and I tried to email you today, it said your account did not exist...I left comments on 360 .
Anyways to answer that question, I think it could help because the suicide bombers are hitting innocent iraqis, but, I dont know, we'll have to wait and see. I hate the wait, but another part of me just seems to believe they are their to DRAW OUT Iran and others that keeping coming into Iraq, in fact the US and IRAN fighting a proxy war that Iraqi president asked them NOT to do in his country. I agree, I think that if the US wants a war with Iran, it should be in Iran.
I think the forces sent there, on the ships, are there for a reason. Its scary but I just cant talk about what I believe will happen with you cuz it will make you sadder. I did hear from some armed forces dad though, that he thinks that the Iranian president will be (assasinated) from within his own country. I do not know why he thinks that ?
What I think leads to back to prophecy.
ps..
run a history check on musselmans, mussulmans, that equal muslims today. American History is where you will find it. Just to get a bigger picture of whats going on, and read some other muslim sites, dont just read a koran. Like be openminded, this is 2007, terrorists just shouldnt be doing this stuff. We should have been at peace with each other by now. Also keep in mind that you cannot study or research the Bible within the Bible, or the Koran within the Koran.. go to remnantofgod.org to find out where the muslims got that koran. Its kind of sad. |

I don't think the American people think more troops are the answer. I think it is clear there are only a hand full of people who really believe that more troops is the answer. And who really knows if they honestly believe it or are just going along with the president. The list of those people are, The president, Vice president, a couple of Generals, and the some Republican party members and current cabinet officals. I don't know of any others who think more troops are the answer. |

America doesn't think anything of the kind. It speaks to the incompetency of our leadership that we are even embroiled in this fiasco. Sadly, when the American public had a chance to give a big thumbs down on this issue, we neglected to replace our Incompetent leader. |

I'm sorry, but Robert KKK Byrd isn't a military expert, and he can't seem to make up his mind, which isn't too uncommon for the Libs in just how they feel/felt about Saddam. When are you Libs going to stop the hypocrisy? Byrd is one of the politicians under Clinton that claimed Saddam was a threat, had WMD. Give us a break!
"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002 |

The smarter Americans know it's just a money-making venture for big oil & defense contractors at the expense of our military. Democracy was part of the ruse.
Our readiness has been compromised, our debt risen astronomically and we are less respected bc of the lies.
We want out - for sure!
Iraq will not be resolved any time soon or not even in the next two generations.

Is robert byrd a military expert? president Bush consulted with many experts on this plan. Do you honestly think he sat there and said, "let's see, what will twist the liberal panties today?". come on ...let's use a little common sense. I don't have the battle or strategic plans for them, but I don't have the need to know either. I trust what they are doing. |
