I doubt it. she is probably just seeking a political agenda, Just watch, she will probably run for office soon. Using her son's death to the fullest of it's potential |

No one forced Cindy Sheehan's son to sign up for the military. He was a man and did it of his own free will. I think it would be much better is Cindy Sheehand supported the troops overseas. She does not have to support the war...just the brave young men and women who serve. |

Cindy Sheehan is a Brave, Historical American. Who was it that said "give me liberty or give me death"? She will have her place in History. She deserves a answer to her question "Why did my Son die in Iraq"? Bush has no guts or he would face her with his answer. Since Bu$h, Cheney and Rummy are all draft dodgers it is hard for them to really know war. Those of us who really know war understand Cindy's burning question that question has not been answered by those who sent her Son off to die. BTW, those that run her down in fact spit on her Sons Grave, and all service mens grave, they gave all. They served. They served. They served. |

If her son stood for blind faith in corrupt leadership, then it's about time someone made a mockery of it. |

I think she is exercising her right as an American to protest something that she believes in and to mock her is to mock the very values that this county is founded on. Her Son and the many sons and daughters that have died as a result of war give her that right. I do not think that it is right to slam her for standing up for something that she believes in and that Bush needs to apologize to ever man woman and child in this country for taking us to an ill advised war. |

Have you ever seen or heard this woman speak?
I seriously doubt she could find her *** with both hands and a flashlight. |

I agree. She is dishonoring her son. It makes me cry. She shows no pride in him. Shouldn't we, as mothers, be proud of our children no matter what? She acts as if he was a stupid child that was conned into something. Her son made a choice. He was a grown man. She doesn't seem to think very much of him or his choices. I think she's all but calling her own son an idiot. |

I think she is genuinely pained and wants better decisions to be made by our leaders.
In this country we have the right to speak out and protest against our government that is what her son fought for and in so doing she is honoring all who have fought and died for this freedom.
I think it is possible she is wrong but patriotic in her beliefs and speaking up for them.
Good luck and God Bless!! |

Probably not. She started out angry over her son's death. Then got caught up in "celebrity". Her loss is tragic. But to behave as she is doing is to dishonor what her son did. And I know people are going to make comments about an un-just war, and so on. But I think that most people have forgotten what happened in New York and Washington and Pennsylvania that fateful day that brought us to this point. Isn't it amazing that we went from a nation where you couldn't go a block without seeing dozens of American flags, to one where we doubt every move we make. Truly sad. |

I lost a brother in Iraq. I still think President Bush was right to go in. Granted, I think we should fight like we mean it and stop half-*ss doing it.
My heart also goes out to Cindy Sheehan. But, just like my family, she DID meet President Bush, accepted his condolences and shook his hand. I think she is doing this for the attention. I don't think that she has thought about how her son would feel about her going around and bad mouthing that which he believe in. She has gone from a grieving Mother to a pathetic, attention hungry peace-nic. |

She is an sputtering idiot used by the pathetic left for their own pitiful purposes, an abject disgrace to her country and her son's memory. She owes America and President Bush a formal apology, but he can be forgiven for not wanting to see her ugly face again. |

As a mother of a solider, I find her to be an embarrassment. I think she started out with what she thought were good intentions. She got caught up in the media blitz, smiling & waving to the cameras more with each "protest". Setting up photo ops. Her son "CHOSE" to join the military, not drafted but chose, because he believed in this great nation. I thought my greatest fear would be to lose my son in battle, but after talking to him it is that I would dishonor his beliefs in this way. I pray for the strength to handle what will come & be able to remember it was always his choice not mine or yours. |

She is stomping her son's memory by her actions.
I would hope my mother would act better if it were to happen to her. |

How can anyone tell you what is in her heart but her? This would be your opinion on the issue. I personally feel she is expressing herself in a fine way that gets her point across. Again just another opinion. I guess no one can really know what it is like to be in her shoes. Love is always the answer.

No she doesn't. Here is the thing, though, she lost her son & that is a terrible loss. The problem is that she uses her son's death to blast the President of the United States & his war policy. One can blast the politicians during war, but when someone like Sheehan does what she has done, she has no honor. When the troops are ordered into battle, they follow those orders or they face consequences. Sheehan has rights to speak out, but she has no loyalty to our country. |

I am with you, Navy Mom. I thought the same thing about her the first time I saw her on TV. She is making a mockery of her son's sacrifice. Whether you support the war or not, how can anyone scoff the incredible sacrifices our brave troops have made for our freedoms? Pay no attention to Dr. Know, he would be the first one to head for Canada or parts unknown if called to serve. Great example for his {God forbid son's}. Does he really think that every soldier who ever fought in any war wanted to be there? They were called to duty, and they served. I hope your son is OK. God bless you. |

I don't think she does. As has been said, nobody forces anyone to join the military. I am a veteran of the USAF and I joined at 18 because I am proud of our Country and the freedoms that we have. I think my parents were a bit shocked that I chose that route, but honestly somebody has to. If nobody stood up and joined, who would be there when our Country needs us. We're all going to die someday, that's inevitable, I'd have been proud to die doing something I believed in and for my country. I don't always agree with the reasoning behind it all but when you sign up, you make a pledge of allegiance to your country to serve your entire term. My husband is still active duty today, and I have three daughters who I would be proud to have serve their country if they so choose to. I'm sure I would be really upset w/ grief if I would lose one of them to war, but I would be damn proud of them and wouldn't be acting like she is. |

Cindy is entitled to her beliefs, it is not in my place to say if she is out of line or not. The war is very sensitive , its her lost she have to go threw it for the rest of her life. I assume you support the war. |

Did her son really stand for the idea that young Americans should be killed by an administration that ignores the will of its own people, wastes billions of dollars, provides profit to private companies controlled by officials in the administration, makes the world less safe for Americans and continues with an arrogance and unaccountability that rivals the most repressive dictatorships in history?
Or is it possible that the brave men and women of the US military should be honored and respected by the politicians who control the government and should never be put in harm's way without careful and intelligent planning and complete accountability? |

You don't know anything until you bury your own son. Anyone that wants to support Bush should be prepared to give up a loved one;as for me the mess he has in Iraq gets none of my blood. |
