Retired Army, I've been to Iraq three times. I supported the war so my children or grandchildren don't have to go there and finish the job.
Regardless, the people who cry oil or false intelligence are wrong when it comes to who truly perpetuated going into Iraq.

I support the war cause I don't want to leave an Anarchy in Iraq which would be vulnerable for Al-Queda to hide |

This is the way i look at it. Saying "I Support the Troops but don't Support the War" is like saying "I like the Patriots but I dont like Football" |

Yes.
I served in Iraq and saw the difference between 'ground truth' and the BS the Democrats are telling you. |

Yes. Liberal scum like Westpark make me nauseous. What make liberal scum like this think that they actually represent the troops?
We troops would love to spit on liberals like Westpark |

Yes, Iraq, was a breading ground for Terrorists, Hussein was an Al Quida sympathizer, and there are many more fronts to come, that's why we must elect a strong Pres. and the American people must be willing to endure the hardships still to come, the war on terror is a long term situation, our enemies are hoping that they can simply out last the American peoples will to fight, they are looking 100 years down the road!!!

Yes! It's not much of a war anymore but I support it! |

Hell ya. We need to be there, as the "tired" old line has said, until the job is done. That job is to ensure that the Iraqi government and military is stable enough that they can deal with the crap (insurgents) that is running amok there.
As of now, we are doing a great job of completing that mission.

"We must all hang together or most assuredly we shall all hang separately...." Benjamin Franklin
This isn't Mister Bush's war, we all own this war and if you don't like it then you are responsible to do something about it. Talk is extremely cheap, you either be part of the solution or you are in fact part of the problem!
I support our troops in total and the war in total, get with the program and help us win. Help the Iraqi people, stop bashing the President and be an American!!! |

Hell yeah I do.
And I will always support our troops and the wars that they fight for America.
They are fighting over there so that they don't have to do the fighting over here.

YES I DO!
As others have said, I'd rather be fighting them on their soil rather than here.
Image what life here would be like with 9/11 everyday! |

Yes very much so. If we don't fight them there, then they will come here and it is best to confront them on their ground than ours.
This is a different world and a different kind of war than it has ever been in the past and I think treading on new ground is always risky but we cannot let ourselves be sitting ducks and after 9/11 we knew we were.
We have to be pro-active, both the US and Israel. |

HECK YEAH!
I still support the War on Terror, both in Afghanistan and Iraq !! |

The war on terror yes. But when "we" start to police other countries like we did with Korea its a waste of time and young lifes. I support the men and women not the "action". We were suppose to be going over there for WMD which we never found. Where is the terror? All of the men in the planes on 9/11 came from another country which we are not fighting because they have even more oil!!! Duh! Its all about the oil. Not the terror. |

i don't think we ever should've gone into iraq, but now it's too late. if we pull out, thousands of refugees will be slaughtered and iraq will be conquered by iran. it was a mistake to go in, but now we can't go out. |

I believe almost everyone supports the war on terror. The problem is, we are not fighting the right war in Iraq. |

I think most people support the "War on Terror"...what's left of it, that is. However, I do not support the war in Iraq, which has nothing to do with the war on terror other than making so-called terrorists more angry with the US.
If you want to join the service, though, Navy or Airforce is the safest choice.
To Oldmarine: We've been in Iraq for almost 5 yrs, not two... |

"war on terror"? or war in iraq. Most do not support the war in iraq, but even the most wimpy of democrats still support the overall war on terror. I just retired from the Navy. If you are going to join, then get a little more educated. |

I support the war on terror but not the war in Iraq. The war in Iraq is illegal. It was never approved by the UN. Saddam and Al-Qaeda are not the same people. It was Al-Qaeda who attacked us on 9-11 not Saddam....and if we are so worried about WMD than why aren't we going after North Korea who we all know has WMD's and has said that they are willing to use them against the U.S.??? I'm sure there is a reason as to why we are in Iraq but that reason came long after we invaded.

The war is a fraud, sacrificing the blood of our young men and women to line the pockets of Bush, Cheney, & Co.
But then, this is what all war is about, from the beginning of time - human sacrifice to enrich those who wage it.
Judging by the idiot posting immediately before me (Saddam Hussein had NOTHING to do with Al Qaeda, he was stridently opposed to the Islamic fundamentalists, and Al Qaeda did not exist until the CIA created it), the war will drag on for a long time, since stupid people believe in stupid things.
And by the way, I am not a Democrat - the Democrats supported the war because they are paid by the same people who pay off the Republicans.
I find it interesting that almost no one responding to this question can make the distinction between supporting the *troops*, the men and women who are sacrificed for our so-called "leaders'" gain, and supporting the *war*, the ill-conceived grab for money and power in a place we should do well to stay out of.
More idiots posting - war is like football? So you're saying war is just a GAME? Moron. |

I don't support any war. I wish we hadn't had to fight WW2, but we did. I do, however, fully support victory. |

I think the government should invest time and money into investigating possible terrorists in all levels of society.
I do not think the war in Iraq does this in any way shape or form. |

I work at for a military contractor. My coworkers either have family in the military or been in the military themselves. Most, if not all, do not support the war but will support the troups in Iraq.
