Does army dpm uniform keep you warm in the winter months?

well tomorrow im wearing the dpm in a dawn parade and its very, very cold at the moment and we have to wear dpm with the sleeves even rolled up its going to be freezing how can i keep warm? and is the dpm warm? i mean it feels pretty light!

DPM(Disruptive Pattern Material) is the pattern on the uniform. The actual uniform is called the ACU. And, they ACU is specifically designed to keep you warm in low temperatures and cool in cool temperatures. It is coated in a specifically designed material to keep body heat in and cooler air out while still being breathable.

There's also a moisture-wicking, t-shirt issued that is similar to UnderArmour. It's meant to help lock in even more body heat, wick moisture away from the body, etc.

You should be fine, but I'd check with your CO and see if you're authorized to wear anything else underneath of it (thermal underwear, etc)
