Does being undecided mean i won't make it in the Marines?

I've been wanting to join the Army since 7th grade (I'm in 10th grade now) but I've been looking at a lot of stuff from the Marines and seeing how Marines "speak" online and such. In other words, I'm really undecided. I haven't looked into the Marines nearly as much as the Army but It's enough to make me question where i belong. I don't know too much about their MOS policy (though i heard it's not guaranteed), payment plans, hell i don't even know much about their training and that's one of the reasons i want to join! If you'd like to know my main 2 reasons (although the first may seem like stupid teenage "omg i wanna be cool" stuff: Pride. Every Marine or anything to do with the Corps is filled with this pride and even lingo that carries so much weight. On this website, somebody posted an excerpt from a book called "Who were you with" (i believe) in which a Marine was walking with his wife and saw various Marines whom would've remained undetectable to anyone else were it not for their Headwear. There's more to the pride thing but i digress. The training: I've looked into it SOMEWHAT and of course I''ve heard that Marine BCT is harder then any other branch. One of my reasons for wanting to join the Army was to ACCOMPLISH something to be proud of and i figured i want to be the best i can be. There's more to that too but now that you have my incredibly long backstory here's the main question: I know I'm only 15, but does me being confused right now mean that I'm not meant to be a Marine?

No, you have time on your side don't let a recruiter push you to make a decision before you have done all of your research. Talk to soldiers and Marines find out what its really like.

Look being confused at fifteen is fine...again You're fifteen. In fact you don't have to make your mind up until after high school.

I have three friends and a cousin that joined the marine corps, my uncle just retired from the Navy and I joined the Army one month after I turned 18, Dec 2001.

My marine friends and family are very proud of their careers and the history of the corps. I think this can be true of many members of the armed forces. However, it is far more pronounced in the Marine Corps.

Here's why I have some disillusion regarding the corps. They have four
Expeditionary Forces and they are under the control of the Navy. This means that when it comes to competing for all that Defense Money there's really only three contenders at the table The Navy, Army, and Air Force. The Marine's cut of the funding is decided by the Navy and they have a different mission orientation. I've personally trained Marines on equipment that the Army was ready to decommission.

To say that the Marines get the short end of the stick is a real understatement. And yet, even with these set backs their ingenuity and discipline in a combat situation are beyond reproach.

So really you can join whatever you want the Marine corps BCT is hard but it is not nearly the limit of what the military has to offer, there's Sniper school, Airborne training, Army Ranger School, Special Forces, Delta Force, Navy SEALs.......

But be careful if you just want to be a bad *** I guarantee that you need greater motivation if you really want to get the most out of the training. There are lessons that won't be on the schedule in fact the ones that have kept me and my unit alive can't be found in any field manual I've read.

Kid first off, The whole Army vs Marine thing has been going on for years. Yes for the most part the Marines Boot is a little harder than the standard Army BCT. However, Army Infantry trains only at 1 Place.. Ft Benning Ga, and a complete Infantry Basic Cycle is 16-17 weeks straight with no breaks , which is longer than the Corps. ( 12 weeks, 2 week break, 3 weeks SOI ( school of INFANTRY)
