Does it piss you off when people are unpatriotic towards our soldiers?

Does it really just make you want to hurt someone when you hear a person talking about how they think the soldiers are bad people and they should be killed or they deserve no respect at all? That absolutely makes me mad to the point where I can't think straight. Soldiers are not picking what they are fighting for, they are just doing their jobs. LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. Only they are doing a way more risky, hard, and emotionally painful job.

Yes. But a Marine told me something. He said that whenever he hears that he looks at it as that person is exercising their right of free speech. So even if they don't realize it, they are showing what the military has done for them.

What's also, to me, annoying is that people don't show respect where respect is deserved: some people disrespect the military, but the majority respect them. Most everybody respects firefighters. Almost nobody respects police officers, who are soldiers are home. Kinda sad to me that they pick and choose who they think serves our country.

Many stand behind the flag. Few stand beside. Heroes stand in front.

If they insult soldiers simply because they are soldiers, that's dumb. But I think it's okay to insult a soldier for their bad personality or something like that.

Well, you've defended the military. The most hated, unappreciated and forgotten group in the US. I mean, there was no, yellow ribbon frenzy or anything. And the government certainly doesn't have anything to gain by making the military look infallible and invoking hero worship.

Bravo.

There are critics of every profession. Stop stroking your super ego (the part of your brain that LOVES authority). Soldiers are human beings, no more, no less - don't put them down, but don't put them on a pedestal either.
