Marine Force Recon is special operations forces. Special Forces is the name for an Army unit nicknamed the "Green Berets" who are also special operations.
Marine Force Recon are similar to SEALs or DEVGRU.
MarSOC means MARineSpecialOperationsCommand= Marine Special Operations Command.
Depending on the group that is within MarSOC, they are like Delta Force. CIA secret groups and MarSOC have a close relationship. |

Each branch of the various Special Operations Forces have different capabilities and core missions. The Marines do not have SOF in the same sense. Force Recon is generally tasked to support a larger deployed Marine unit, not to conduct autonomous missions. |

BHO is wrong about the Navy SEALs being a Marine special force. Right about the Marines being a part of the Navy though. The only one I know of for the Marines is Force Recon. There might be more, I don't know for sure. Look it up or talk to a recruiter. |

The Marines are actually a branch of the Navy, so it would be the Seals.
