Does the military kill troops who oppose the war?

As has become increasingly clear, it is likely that Pat Tillman was not just killed by "friendly" fire, but was murdered because he opposed the illegal Iraq War and the reelection of Bush.

Recently, the troops who paid for that anti-war ad in the NY Times the other week have suspiciously turned up dead.

Is the military killing troops because they are opposed to the war?

Kekionga
No they are not.

Maybe some idiot mass murder type of mentality serving in the armed forces could perpetrate such violence, but it is doubtful. He would be caught and convicted.

If you need proof, look at the rest of the news where troops are held accountable for their actions.

Doesn't add up.

g-day!

Yeah, Pat Tillman was killed because he did not believe in the war. He did not believe in the war so much that he gave up a lucrative career in the NFL making millions of dollars a year to serve his country in the Army Rangers. How much of your day do you people waste sitting around thinking this crap up?

applebeer
That is total crap...

Shinobie
Yeah you bet there is a special building we take them all to to cover it up. The men in black run it.

Hey it is on the Internet so it has to be true

Well it was online... so it must be true!!
Are you really that stupid to read something that some other moron wrote in a blog and interpret it as a fact!! I'm honestly ashamed that you are an American.

Have you been to war, served in the military, or hell, have you ever watched band of brothers. We all fight side by side together, and most of us would take a bullet for our brothers in arms. We're all different people, of different races, of different religions, with different political beliefs and we don't run around Iraq in complete chaos killing everyone with a different opinion. I highly doubt Tillman even opposed the war, if he didn't want to fight and possibly die, then why the hell would he have joined in the first place? Go back to you're little blogs buddy and post this crap where other morons can read it and tell you how right you are, and offer their half baked conspiracy theories. I'm actually pretty impressed that you were able to turn on your computer and type a few sentences, I would think that Some one dumb enough to believe that bs would have something seriously wrong with them mentally.

Good grief.

Stories written by people with an agenda are hardly unbiased.

No, because our freedom of speech is guaranteed by the first Amendment of the United States Bill of Rights. Therefore, any government backed assassination of US troops opposed to the war is illegal.

Besides, John Kerry is still alive. How do you explain that?

This is such a line of total BS that it really is not worth attempting to give a dignified answer to.

Blessed Is Best
friendly fire happens, esp. when they are hundreds of yards or thousands of feet away and are in a hot zone and can't be readily id'd. I would have to say no, regardless of ones personal or political views. If I recall, the liberal NY Times has falllen under scruitney quite a bit in their anti-american rhetoric, I find it amazing they haven't been silenced in the name of national security, in their bid to help terrorism and pretty much run alongside al-jazerra to drag us down. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

not likely to check the veracity, or the political agenda of the sources you're reading are you?

Well then you're probably supporting those very political agendas....

phew....

The Geneva Convention today has changed remarkably and being a conscientious observer hasn't. An active duty service member that refuses to got to war will face a courtmartial and dishonorable discharge, busted rank and lose all their privelages. They may even go to Federal Prison for refusing an order, but laws have changed and the military disposses of these cowards a whole lot different than yesterdays War.

Ah, ha ,ha, ha, how ridiculous. Tillman choose to serve his country of his own free will. You dishonor him and his service by implying anything other. He gave all of himself for his belief.
Unfortunately friendly fire casualties happen in every war.
I have to question your age, or if you're just trying to be silly.

But Why??

Yes it is....
