My o my, when will people do some real research into DU and understand that it is about as dangerous as lead based paint.

You can read all the far left nut sites you want to read, the facts still stand that DU is only dangerous if you happen to swallow it. There are no radiation dust clouds to breath in.

And if you read enough you will find that DU is even used as a layer of Armour in our own vehicles. Why? To stop DU rounds from penetrating them.

AS far as your 70,000; I would love to see the government that could keep that such a secret. It certainly isn't the Bush administration. they can't even keep the Presidents personal phone number secret.

Did you even read the article. There is absolutely no way that any of this could be true. There have been hundreds of studies on US casualties of the war and they all corroborate the current counts by the US government. The link is obviously an anti-Israel/anti-American website. If you bothered to look at some of the other articles you would notice that they all have one theme...The perceived Zionists take over. How gullible are you? Not to mention if there were 70,000 US deaths there would be a massive uproar in this country right now.

The author obviously has no idea how depleted uranium works. IT'S NOT RADIOACTIVE. That's why it's called Depleted Uranium. Also, the Depleted Uranium rounds are no longer used and have not been used since 2003. They're designed for tank penetration, we haven't fought any tanks in Iraq since April of 2003. Essentially, we used the DU rounds for less than a month.

number of firefighters and paramedics killed - 343
number of people who lost a sopuse of partner in the attack - 1,609
number of people who lost a parent - 3,051

that isn't counting the people who died at the Pentagon and the 28 heroes who died in Shanksville, PA.

There has only been less than 900,000 American soldiers and Marines who have passed through Iraq. That means 1 in 12 are dead. I was there in 2003 and do not know anyone who was their with me who has died of either radiation poisoning or cancer.

You can cry all you want, but the fact remains that we're in Iraq, and other places that people seem to forget about. How about instead of standing behind every anti-war article you read, you stand behind you're troops and rally for them? First of all there has only been 4000 s out of about 300,000 total deployments. And if it weren't for those people who died doing what you didn't have the ***** to do, your house would be a nuclear waste site do to nuclear warfare from ist controlled countries that have nuclear power, so say thank you and DO NOT continue to disrespect our soldiers who have died or are currently fighting or had fought.

Not all these deaths are from the war, if you can read, they are from radiation. That would happen, war or not because the men and women of our military train on new equipment as it is available and harm from such equipment is not an issue, rather, having the upper hand and who cares about those who are willing to die to keep this nation free. Are you happy now?! Don't take the lime light away from our brave, give it back to them and stop quoting stats, they are people with families and they are willing to sacrifice their lives for................
