Yes it really pisses me off. People show more support for stupid empty headed celebs with drugs problems than for the soldiers who are fighting for their lives and our freedom. wtf? American citizens should be grateful for the soldiers, not spit on them when they get the chance. Yes, many people have died in the middle east, that doesn't mean you should take it out on the soldiers or the government...take it out on the terrorists!..(how many people died in the civil war....and the country was fighting each other...) COME ON PEOPLE! DON'T BE B*TCHES!

Do I say better pay and benefits should be put out for my fellow troops, yes. However, others being rich does not bother me as that is what I fight for... FREEDOM

It's amazing, but if people are willing to buy it, that is what is making the money for them. Professional athletes salary's are ridiculous, when you look at the likes of A-Rod alone getting paid more than the entire Tampa Bay team together.

The end consumer, you and I, agree they are worth that much by buying their CD's / attending their games. It is not the fault of the singer or athlete.

I don't mind officers get paid low because to serve is to want to do it for other things than money. But enlisted make ridiculously low wages.

Yes...but its a sign of the times. We sacrifice time with our families, loss of life and limb so that we as Americans, like LiL Wayne and Britney can do as they please, as much as we dont like it. It does piss me off, but I love my country and my flag. And when I see it waving and feel my heart swell with pride, that feeling is more precious and valuable than any amount of money I could have. For us that do what we do, there is no amount of money they could pay us for the job that we do. God bless the USA.

You are paid what you are worth to someone else. Britney is not just a person but a corporation. Behind her are accountants, advertising agents, administrative assistants publicists etc., all dependent on her ability to rake in cash.
A GI (I was once one) does not generate revenue but is considered in business parlance "overhead" in other words spends money without bringing in any revenue. Hence the reason they are paid a thousand times less. Who's job is more valuable to society? The fact that people spend hundreds of dollars on Britney concert tickets, buy t-shirts, dolls, Cd's and MP-3 shows that she is much more valuable commodity. Is it fair? Nothing in life is fair but it is reality.

Most of us don't exactly live in poverty, we just learn how to budget really well. And honestly, we don't think about how much he brings home every two weeks and how it compares to some celebrity. I didn't marry my husband for his money, and he didn't join the military to get rich. He serves with honor and integrity, and for the both of us, its enough.

And for white rose... my husband happily serves to protect your right to be obnoxious.
