Doess my husband get to leave base for on family day?

I'm pretty sure my hubby's family day is coming up close, he's in Basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood. I am going to his family day with my mom but I'm not sure if I should share a room with her or get my own to stay in. Does he get to leave base so we can have alone time? I think you know what i'm getting at.

My husband was allowed to go off post for a few hours. It was up in the air as to whether he would get to or not, but they eventually did decide to let them spend time with their families off post. I would definitely get a separate room! It is well worth it! |

Haha! My boyfriends at Ft. Leonard Wood right now too.
But not for basic...Hes there for Tech School. |

I am not sure about now but when my husband had family day, we got our own hotel room and he was able to stay that night with me. He had to be back by a certain time the next day, really early but he did stay with me in our own hotel room off base. |

Ha, I know what you're getting at, but unfortunately I don't think they can go off post on family day, family can just go on post. And you should probably share a room with your mom because he wont be able to stay the night. If he has phone privelleges, next time you talk to him have him ask his DS, then you'll have a for sure answer. Good luck! |

Sometimes it is up in the air if one gets to leave or not. If there is such a privilege some may not earn it (excessive inspection demerits etc.) I've included a page that has a request for information link and since we do not know by your question if he is an engineer, chemical or MP you might want to go directly to the source. They can go off-post but they cannot stay overnight. It's usually from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. |
