ET's in Iraq - fact or fiction?

Some people believe that the real reason for U.S. intervention is to uncover the secrets of ET technology created by a race fo ET's who lived in Iraq thosands of years ago. They were called "Anunnaki" and are supposed to have departed the planet around 1700 BC. leaving behind a wealth of superior technology which the Americans want to reverse engineer as they have done with the "Greyling" spaceships that crashed at Roswell.

But the area that we call Iraq was the cradle of civilisation, Babylon.
The Anunnaki are well known in history and the Enki/Enlil story is very well documented. Many of these stories have been incorporated into most of the middle eastern religious texts.
