I really wish (desire?) that the name-callers would keep their mouths shut (and tightly) until such time as they show the courage to also protect their country.
An old chinese proverb goes something like (I can't remember exactly) -
"Don't criticize until you walked a mile in their shoes." |

If the name callers weren't so ignorant, they would be over there fighting along side the guys who are. I don't pay them any attention. Ignorance bores me. |

Gotta have more explosions!

Why should I care what someone of ill-repute thinks? The last thing they need is attention. |

Make ya want to spit in their face and mark their forehead with a mark, so in case things get really tough we will know who not to bother to protect. |

Their opinion means nothing to me. I don't feel the need to toss insults back at them or anything. Soldiers have always joined to protect the rights of Americans, they have the right to express themselves and I have the right to ignore them. In the end, you will be treated much like you treated your fellow man, according to my belief. I can live with that, they will too. |

You stop and consider where the "noise" is coming from:
1) if the noise is coming from someone you value you educate them.
2) if the noise is just random noise, you ignore it, much like a fart. |

I am in the army, 11B, and I can't stand the people who have the guts to say this type of ****. Especially when we could die serving our country. But these people will never understand what it is like to do what we do.

I chose to ignore then, the world is full of stupidity. You can't solve every thing, those of us there were in the service from the 60's to middle 70's went through the same.

These kind are easy to counter It's the ones who try and undermine us and our country that are harder to spot i;e " I support our military but not war, i don't approve Americans torturing people,I feel so sad for all the civilians killed" As if we do These snakes know what they are doing And any time I get a chance too pay them back I do You don't get too many opportunities but some times you get luckyTwo mouths ago over heard two airline attendances, from 'down under' running off their mouths two hours later, guess who we ran into on a dark side street God it was sweet |

Since I am a Vietnam vet a little more used to hearing it then some of the younger ones; nothing you can do will change what they say or think, getting mad and hitting them would just prove there point, arguing is a waste of breath. Just hate it and ignore them and that is really all you can do. Try not to get bitter or hard hearted about it because they are a small minority now-more common and more of them in the 60's-70's. Yes we do or did fight die and bleed for them to say what they want and it applies if we agree, disagree, good or bad about us. A lot you joined post 9/11 when the military was "good" again or first Gulf War but the civilian perception of the military is always poor to nasty until we are needed-
Franklin gave a good advice-read Kipling's Tommy which is written about the British civilians view of the British Milty; timeless, nation doesn't matter and always been accurate. |

I ignore retarded people.
They never heard the statement,
"Better to thought a fool, than open your mouth and leave no doubt". |

I've never heard anyone say a bad word about a soldier in todays armed services other than the new reporters who only report on the negative things, you rarley hear stories on the news about heroism. all you hear is the nagging about civilian casulties and torture of prisoners.. I recall seeing on the news when the Iraqi's had a few US soldiers prisoners, the prisoners were killed and the people were dragging his body parts around in the street and the children were laughing. I am ex military and i would slap the smile off someones face if I heard them bad mouthing our troops, there are plenty of rapist and murders in thier own neighborhoods they should worry more about. |

I have come to the conclusion that we have a growing number of people who are masquerading as adults while they are still mentally in seventh grade. There is little I can do about it except to personally express my awe at their idiocy.
That includes the senior U.S. Senator from Illinois who voiced an opinion equating our personnel at Camp Delta in Guantanamo with the Nazis. I also have to add those who envy my "lucrative" military pension. When I retired as a Lieutenant Commander with a wife and four children, my state veterans' affairs office told me that, because of my reduced income, I now qualified for food stamps. I saved and framed that letter. |

it angers me, we do what we do for them to have the right of freedom of speech, we are TOLD what to do, we have no choice, we do it because if we dont... who will..... i do this job because i know i am helping to protect my family and what i stand for... if those people cant accept me for that then they can kiss my rear.... most of them have no idea and have never been there.... they should serve one year and do what we do, then see what they say. |

I think it is sad that those people have no clue. It is easy to talk crap when you are ignorant to the real world. It also makes me feel bad that they have no life and they only want to get a rise out of us. One day reality will make the realize what idiots they are and that they should realize freedom is not free. |

I absolutely hate it. It saddens me that people are that ungreatful. And how these people that are saying such things were the ones that called for war in the fist place. Its disgusting that they would call us this, I joined the military to fight for this country and to protect it not to be slanderized by some people that forget all of what we mean and what we fight for. |

Viet Vet. I'm used to it. Rudyard Kipling wrote a poem "Tommy" that pretty much explains the public view of the military. |

Those people who making those remarks are generating fighting words. I considered them to be coward and traitors. I have the first amendment right to call them cowards and traitors. What happen to the term innocent until proven guilty?
Those people who insults the troops should be denied the privileges of the Union League Club.

We have had it so easy for so long, that many people are ignorant of the fact that our brave men and strong military is the only reason we are here, and so successful. We certainly haven't achieved what we have by adopting the liberal "Cut and Run" model. If we had, we would all be speaking another language today. |

We have been called baby killers, murderers, haters, and straight out low-lifes. But I fight for thier right to run thier mouths. Since 'Nam we've been ridiculed. The way i see it, I will fight for my, and thier right to talk smack. God love the U.S.A. God love my Corps. |
