Getting ready for Army basic training (please read)?

Okay, so I'm getting ready for Army basic training. Every Thursday, I go down to the recruiting office and do P.T. (Physical Training, in case anyone didn't know). I just have a couple of quick questions. 1) Does anyone know how effective those acai berry diet supplements are? 2) Can anyone give me some tips on increasing my endurance when I run? All info is much appreciated.

First of all, get your body off of any supplements you might be taking. Period. It's essential to your health that you arrive to BCT naturally healthy. There have been numerous cases in which potential Soldiers have become fatally ill during PT, all do to supplement intake.
Secondly, to build cardiovascular endurance you must routinely run. Get outdoors and do a variety of running on a regular basis. Some good types of running are cross-country, stair-climbing or steep-grade and running for distance. I would also suggest timing yourself against your particular age-group standard to see where you stand.

never, never run with a weighted backpack.. you will destroy you knees and your back... if you want to ruck with a weighted backpack and rangewalk, ( walk very fast) go ahead, but running with extra weight never having done it before ( like with a machine gun, kit, and amo in iraq) you will hurt yourself |
