I care, I will always care, for as long as they are out there. Don't listen to everything you see on TV.

No we still care about our troops it is just that the focus in the media has shifted from the war to the economy.

To: Cody T. No! It is not true, the silent majority still cares, on my street in a little neighborhood in GA alone, 4 homes still have the American Flag flying high, my prayers nightly are for world peace. Remember Cody you are hearing this news from a biased liberal media with an agenda. Our men and women in the military who serve are thought of very highly in our country, it is too bad that you are not shown this in a more overt way. A lot of people are very worried about the economy right now, and it has shifted their attention. From my own prospective it was never about w.m.d., it was about the people that were being massaquered by a ruthless and tyrannical government. What you and your comrades in arms are doing is very noble and brave, and it is a very worthy cause, fighting for people's freedoms and liberties.

Ofcourse people care, im in Australia and from what iv heard more people are for you guys coming home then staying, most ppl seem to say Bush made a mistake putting troops over there and hopefully Obama will work at bringing you home. Unfortantely you were sent to an extremely unstable country that isnt going to repair its self over night. These things take time, which probly should have been considered more before you were all sent there.

Wow. It's hard to imagine you writing that, there are protests all over the place in canada and the u.s. trying to get the troops back home. Is it possible that you're not interpreting the broadcast correctly? There are a lot of people who don't believe the forces should be over there, but it's not that they don't care about you guys. Besides it's the news, no one ever said they were honest, they make one person's opinion sound like thousands, they make their money by shocking people. Don't let them get to you, we're rooting for you. Cheers.

Of course, i have cared about your country and i pray to be peaceful in your country soon. This event is still in my MEMORY that i had worked in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Airport, i have to evacuated to Jeddah Airport until the airport can be operated as normal.

I know the feelings you are having soldier. The same thing happened to us when we were in Vietnam. There is nothing more demoralizing than to be fighting for your country and the feeling that your country has forgotten about your sacrifices ! You guys are doing a magnificent job over there and I can assure you that you are still in my thoughts and prayers. Take care trooper!

There are many people who are deeply thankful, and proud of the American youth (and older folks) in our Military today. We just don't own the media outlets. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
I wish you weren't stuck over there for the "nation building " part of this mission. When the war clouds were gathering, I predicted that it would be a swift and decisive affair if we limited the scope of the mission to eliminating Saddam's threat to the US, but predicted a long involvement if we got into the "nation building" thing like we did in Vietnam. I'm not a hawk by any means, but the missions like this are what keeps us, "the protected" safe & sound. There are folks who wish to willfully deny this.
Thanks.

Because no one in America has to give up anything. Except of course the people who lost loved ones over there and the people from the attacks of 9-11. During the second world war every one was involved. There was rationing on everything. Even Sugar and dye for the uniforms. Even with the economy in the tank, the restaurants around me are packed on the weekends. The American people have to get involved, not just the military families. Plus, Iraq was the wrong war. We just have to stay the course.

Of course we do! If you were to ask what grieves us more, the war in Iraq or money it would be you young guys out there. I haven't heard anything like that. it could have been said just to get people to think and not lose support for the war. I don't know if it was a good idea or not, but I certainly don't like to see young people out there and away from their family. Yes everybody cares. most certainly. Anyone who says anything different is a brute.

I wouldn't say we've forgotten, it's just not our number one priority anymore. We are in an economic crisis. I think most people just want to get the troops home and end this war once and for all. People care about the troops, but this war needs to come to an end. Also, thank you for protecting our country, it is appreciated even if it doesn't always seem like it.
