Has the Navy gotten rid of sign on bonuses?

My recruiter was trying to tell me that some bill was passed back in november that the Navy is getting rid of sign on bonuses. This was just the initial meeting with her a while back, but now that I know what field I'm going to go into (CTI), I'm not sure how to approach her about the subject.

And I'm not sure if she meant the navy was getting rid of signing bonuses altogether, or they're just giving it the specific fields, like SEALs and Divers, etc.

Overall they are gone, but there are still bonuses for some specialty positions.

yes for the most part all signing bonuses are gone. CTI MIGHT qualify for a little one.. all SRBs in CTI are pretty much gone. Nuke might still get a sign on bonus.

For the most part all bonuses in the US Military are gone... the bill was passed in February... as well as all military marriage programs.... go ahead and thank Obama for that change.

Sign-on bonuses are fading.

However Re-Enlistment bonuses are strong. The current cap is $90k.

Most submariner rates all get good SRBs.
