If the Democrats have their way those lives will have been wasted.
If we are allowed to win then those lives will have been for something.
Your choice. |

ABSOLUTLEY NOT! Our armed forces are over there fighting for our freedom. In the words of the U.S. Navy motto
"Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of those who threaten it". Before you critisize them try walking in their shoes. They would probably be glad to switch with you. |

Soldiers are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice for our beliefs. Something that people who only know how to talk would never understand. Saying any Soldier "wasted" their lifes is simply your opinion, not OUR beliefs, leave the fighting to us, leave the patriotism to us and be grateful there are enough of us who volunteer to so you or you family doesn't have to out of force. |

Their lives have not been wasted and shame on anyone that calls it that. That is a slap across the face to all of them.
God bless our troops everywhere and keep them safe from the hate spewing liberals. |

No. Obama comes across as half-retarded. Go to Iraq and ask some of the Iraqis American Soldiers help on a daily basis and see if they think they wasted their lives.
A majority of the families who lost loved ones will tell their lives weren't wasted. Some people actually know what's going on, not just what the liberal media tells them. |

I am an Army wife. My husband and I have 5 children and we have spent almost half of our married life apart. I find it appalling that people think that the deaths in Iraq are lives wasted. My husband volunteered because he has a profound sense of duty and sacrifice for his country, not for college money or because he couldn't make a living, as John Kerry would have you believe. And he was already in the Army when we married so I knew what sacrifices I would be required to make. So stop feeling sorry for us, because we chose this life and we are proud to be serving our country. The liberals and the media are our biggest enemy. |

As a soldier and currently on deployment here in Iraq; I am proud to put on my boots, my uniform and put my american flag on my right shoulder as i grab my rifle. I have spent most of my years in the military away from home and my family including 3 back to back years in South Korea. There are hard days and there are good days but i am always proud to give my life in service to all of you who have said my life or the lifes of my fallen brothers are wasted. So please spread the word " I protect the United States Of America from enimies foriegn and domestic!" And I do so proudly! |

How about we ask the millions of Iraqi's who got to vote for their own leaders for the first time. |

north korea, iran and saudi arabia are not in conflict with us like iraq is, so there is no point to send un needed troops to those countries. iraq might be a war zone still, but atleast there is 1 less dictator in that entire reigon thanks to those american forces. |

The fact is that before the 2002 a lot of people agreed that Iraq had WMDs. The UN had numerous investigations and Sadam failed to comply. If they really didn't have anything, what was he hiding. The only conclusion when there is an investigation and someone is not complying is that they are trying to hide something. WMDs were either moved out of Iraq or Sadam is the biggest idiot ever. If the UN did their investigation and discovered there were no WMDs, we wouldn't have perceived Iraq as a threat.
Once we realised that there were no WMDs, it was too late to back out. If you think the whole world hates the US now, just wait until we leave and there is more bloodshed.
As for the other threats, the US and its allies are dealing with North Korea and Iran. |

Excuse me, but I don't feel that the friends I have lost have been WASTED. How dare you say it was a Waste!
They are fighting for freedom; they are fighting for a better world. Without our sacrifice everyday you would not have the freedoms you now have; and you are now willing to take for granted and over look the lack of freedom world wide.
The UN, and its mighty vision, has failed at every attempt to make a better world. The might UN and the rest of the world shy away from conflict, at the expense of others' freedoms!
I don't want your sympathy or anything; let us do our jobs!!! I've served two tours in Iraq and I don't want some simpering Commie like you feeling all mushy about it! |

In its 231 years, which is young for a nation, the US military has freed more people than all other nations in the history of the world, combined.
If you want to call that wasted, go for it. Troops have died for your right to say whatever stupid thing crosses your mind.
Whatever. |

Personally I think that sandmonkey should be taken out back and shot in the head. He's a disgrace to the American people, even the democrats. |

"Wasted" is a word too kind. We should use terminology more in line with heartless, cold neo-con thinkning. I would say they have been EXPENDED to secure American global superiority in the post-peak oil world.
Bush, Cheney, and their cronies don't care about human loss. The worse the situation in Iraq gets, the better the excuse to "stay the course" (read: keep troops there to secure oil assets). Remember, the ends justify the means! |

What about lakhs of Iraqi lifes wasted because of this unjustified war... They are also humans... |

I wouldn't say their lives have been "waisted". I'd say their lives have been sacrificed, for the profit of defense contractors in the US. Halliburton's stock split in November when Iraq took a turn for the worse. cheney said he has seen great success in Iraq. Look at his profit margin. |
