High school to flight school?

Whoever said Army Flight School was easy obviously has not been through it.

First off, you have to apply and be accepted for the WOFT Program to do the Warrant Officer route...

or

be in the top of your class in Army ROTC or at West Point and selected for Aviation your senior year for the Commissioned Officer route.

If you make the cut, you will then have to pass SERE-C, Dunker, IERW, your advanced aircraft course (Apache, Black Hawk, Chinook, or Kiowa), and BOLC III. It'll take 15-28 months to complete depending on holds and which aircraft you are selected for.

Flight school is easy. I would recommend getting a 4 year degree.

Its actually a very difficult process.

Straight out of high school, it is very hard, unless you have like a sport or private pilots license, because that will help you get selected.

if you can get a degree, it will boost your chances of getting selected for Warrant Officer Flight Training.

Now in the Army, ROTC is to become an officer.

and although Officers do fly in the Army, they do not fly as much as warrant officers. So only consider the ROTC way if you want to be a pilot in another branch, or in the army for a little bit, because mostly Warrant Officers fly in the Army.

but HS to FS, is a very difficult to get into. There are so many applying, and only those who seem like great applicants get selected.

honestly you will need more than a good asvab score.

your gonna need to Pass the FAST with flying colors!. and having prior civilian flight experience will help....

also if you enlisted into an Air Craft Mech job in the army, you could later apply to Warrant officer flight training, and have a greater chance of getting selected because you would have military and aeronautic experience.

Well Brandon first you'll need to enter college and earn a degree. Maybe join the school's ROTC program. Since you put this in the military category, you are endeavouring to be a military pilot. You'll need top notch grades in college and 20/20 color vision as well, and be in good physical shape and in good health.
