You always see military movies were the character says something like, "we are four clicks south of your position". So, what is the measurment of a "click"? Is it a mile or something?

well, in Canada...a "click" is a kilometer (km) which is 1000 m...so, half a click would be 500 m....2 clicks would be 2 km....I guess in the States it would be a mile...I'm not sure. :) |

Is everybody sure it only means Kilometer? I recal World War 2 movies where they use the term click in reference to distance, but I don't think they were big on the metric system in the US military back then (most of the time they seemed to use English units). |
