it depends. the army takes a long time to do most things. if you have not already done your pt test and physical, then you need to do so asap. if you already have, then you should already know about the turnaround time of things. personally, i received a 4-year scholarship at the university level, not the national level. it is a much safer bet because there are only so many national level scholarships, while at the same time every university has scholarships to give away.
what i did after the physical was schedule an interview with the commander of the university's rotc program. after the interview, i was given the apft. i did not receive the official confirmation letter in the mail for about 3 months. but, at the university level it is completely up to them to decide whether or not they want to give you a scholarship. therefore, show up in a suit (or JROTC uniform) and be prepared to take the pt test. this will go over well. if you cant pass the pt test, then dont sweat it. just try to get close if you cant.
