How are R&R days counted?

I know hubby's R&R doesn't technically start until midnight the day after he arrives (if he arrives at 11am on Monday R&R beings midnight Tuesday). He gets 15 days. Does that mean 15 full days with him leaving on the 16th day or will he leave on the 15th day?

I had this issue back in october when my hubby came home for R&R. His leave time didn't "start" until he was back in the US, boots on ground. Then he gets those 15days home. Then he goes and the transport back doesn't count either because it takes a few days to get back to the states (not sure exactly where you are) but from iraq to pennsylvania took my hubby about 3 days each way. Also it'll say on his travel itinerary. Congrats on R&R and I hope your hubby is home soon!!!

He'll get the itinerary before he leaves.. But I think it starts when he leaves, not when he arrives...
