How can I find out where I can be stationed?

I'm in the process of joining the Air Force and my recruiter wants me to narrow down/change my MOS list because I am way overqualified for most of the jobs I want.

Anyway, I was wondering if there's a listing of all the places I could be stationed if I was an Imagery Analysis vs. a Crypto Linguist because that may help me get my list down from 26 jobs to 10 or so.

P.S. I know this probably sounds stupid but I'm 3 semesters away from a nursing degree and then I'm hoping to get commissioned so I don't care too much what I spend 2-3 years doing because in the long run I'll be garraunted the job I want.

Taking the DLAB next week, the jobs were just an example.

First, learn to spell. Second, the AF calls the jobs AFSC not MOS.

Be careful of the language you choose. For example, Arabic...hmmmm. Where do you think you will be going many, many times?

Well it can be narrowed quit quickly. To be qualified for a linguist you must pass the DLAB test first. If you have not done that test then linguist is not a choice. Your ASVAB may qualify you but nothing happens till the test is passed. No lists that I know of.

FRC
You do not "pass" or "fail" the DLAB. It uses a made-up language to asses your ability to learn languages. Based on your final score, you will be rated as eligible for a Class 1 through 4 language, with Class IV being the toughest languages (Japanese, Chinese, Pashto, Urdu, Arabic, etc.)

However, passing the DLAB does not guarantee you a linguist position. You must also pass the language course at the Defense Language Institute (DLI) which involves taking the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in a specific language and getting a high enough score (normally a 2/2).

If you do become a crypto linguist, you will likely be stationed with a unit that conducts signals intelligence (SIGINT). The Air Force's big station for that is in Texas at Lackland AFB. You should expect to become an aircrew member and fly in RC-135s as part of your job.
