How can we be absolutely certain that Adolf hitler was dead in 1945?

Absolutely, no... You'll hear stories about him escaping and assuming another identify but it would be hard for him to do that... I think he really died in 1945. To many people wanted him dead...

We can't. Read the book "The Berkut" by Joseph Heywood. This author did a great job of "what if" in this scenario. Its fiction of course, but real good reading and thought provoking.

There is good evidence that the remains found in his bunker were his and Eva Braun's.

It's not absolutely certain but even if he did escape it's highly unlikely he would have lived much longer. He was infected with syphillis and it was in an advanced stage.

In the terciary stage, the syphillitic lesions start to form on internal organs -- brain, heart, etc. -- and death usually falls shortly there after.

He showed all the signs of syphillitic insanity in the late days of the war and likely would have died before he could have been tried if he had been captured.

Had he been captured by the Russians, it's unlikely that he would have survived capture even if he didn't offer any resistance. Given that the bunker was overrun by Russian troops first there's little doubt that he died either at his own hand as is generally accepted or at the hands of his Russian captors.

There exists no definitive proof that Adolf Hitler died in 1945. DNA tests on his bones that russia held for nearly 40 years after his death were inconclusive.

However, it's 2006 he's for sure dead by now. If you believe in re-incarnation, he was re-incarnated and goes by the name of George W. Bush today.
