He can't because of a couple of reasons:
The other terrible dictators have better armies than Iraq had. North Korea, Iran would be a handful.
He has overextended our troops in Iraq. We can't afford to go after anyone else. Not with troops and not with military spending.
The new congress won't let him go sailing off into another ridiculous adventure. The adults have returned. |

China's holding hundreds of billions of US debt. North Korea has no viable resources for the US to take, and the nutball-in-charge just might have workable nuclear weapons and the balls to use them.
The US government has a history of backing dictators, anyways. Why would they want to change now? They're only paying lip service to "the spread of democracy and freedom around the world". |

The only terrible dictators in the world are the ones that don't agree with Bush. All the other dictators like the ones in Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia (2/3 of 911 terrorist were Saudis) not only are acceptable to Bush, he give them billions in US taxpayer money, and he looks the other way when they suppress the freedoms of their people. Didn't Bush say he wanted to spread democracy all over the world? |

Because they'll fight back. He went after Saddam to prove a point to his father. It had nothing to do with terrorism. The terrorist came from Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. We had Saddam under control with the no-fly zones in the North & South of the country. He couldn't take a sh!t without us knowing about it. HE HAD NO WMD. He was no threat. |

Well, maybe all of those countries don't encourage terrorism the way it is done in the middle east. If they do start to, then I am sure someone will go in there to try and clean it up.
My question is, if Bush tries to get enough volunteers to go into Sudan and help those people would you volunteer? |

But what would give him the right to go after ANY dictators??? The US is as guilty as any foreign powers for trying to force its way of life on others. (Of course, that IS NOT what Iraq is all about anyway...that's just what the govt. wants the naive people of this country to believe.)
If you honestly believe that the US is trying to HELP other people, I feel that you need to get a better education! Half of the world is starving while we pay farmers NOT to grow wheat. Many countries will continue to live in severe poverty due to high interest rates charged by the US and others. There are many, many worse regimes than Saddam's on the face of the earth right now.
Saddam didn't play the game right: He accepted our aid for many years, but then got to actually believing we wouldn't double cross him; he got too big for his britches. The typical Arab mentality isn't quite up to the sophistication of the Western double/triple/quadruple dealings of our government and "intelligence" agencies. Saddam knew that we knew he didn't have WMD, so he called our bluff--he thought! I don't think that in his worst nightmares did he ever believe that we would try to touch HIM.
But, lo and behold, we did. And that is meant to be a lesson to others. Our "friendship" is given and taken away as the political winds blow. |
