How come Piracy is still rife off the somalian coast?

There's half the developed and developing worlds navies parked there so why not launch a large military offensive on the pirates, hunt them down, lay traps for them, plant limpet mines on their larger ships? Surely this is a much better way of tackling the problem than negotiating with them, seeing as violence is all they understand?

They are on an offensive right now, and have been since November when the piracy escalated from a few ship a month to when they took a Ukranian ship loaded with Tanks, then an Saudi oil tanker...

Dealing with it is something that can't be done by taking out the Pirates at sea, there are warlords in Somalia organising them and paying them, take those guys out and it'll all fold.

I don't know why they haven't tried to go into Somalia or where ever they hide to root them out on land. You would think the intelligence community could do it.

We get very little coverage of the piracy problem in Somalia so I don't know all of the background on it.

there are many reasons for somalian piracy, somalia is a failed state so not many jobs, the eu allows european factory fishing boats to devestate the local fish stock so not many fishing jobs and the somalian population relied heavily on fish for their diet, so not many jobs and not much food, what would you do in their situation.
