How come everything in my life leads back to the military?

Hey me and my parents agreed on letting me joining the military after two years at community college. I have weird/scary/protecting people in dreams. Not only that in real life, I've been trying my best to get into other things in my life and do not go that route in my life. But I always come back for joining the military. Why is that? I mean is something trying to tell me something? Because I do pray and ask the lord for direction in my life. Ay ideas?

I know how you feel. I have been fighting the same feelings for 2 years now. I am about to finish grad school and I am seriously leaning towards joining the Navy in Feb. 2010. I am starting to feel like this can be a viable option for me. I can tell you that I am going to get in shape and not fight what God is telling me to do. I have no kids or husband, and the idea keeps popping in my head. Go with the feeling to join the military. Do not limit yourself and go with God.

That could be just it. Maybe God is directing you in this. It's a great career. It is also something that few Americans do, give back to their country selflessly. And despite political affiliation nearly everyone in the country will look up to you and appreciate what you did for them.

I have to say Jaybird sometimes that is the way it works. I always wanted to join the military and I did. Lots of people tried to talk me out of it. I finally set a goal or deadline for myself, if I had or had not done certain things by a set time I was joining. I did that and ended up on the deadline knowing I was headed to boot camp. It has got to be your decision. Will you look back and say I wish I had or I wish I hadn't? I decided that I would do four years and reevaluate. I got out after four years. I do sometimes wish I had stayed. I know I could not get where I wanted if I had stayed. I now work for the military as a civilian and for me have the best of both worlds. I could not have done it without the military. Good luck whatever you choose, and serve with pride if you do go!

join the military it will be one of the best choices you've made all your life. trust me i was basically the same way. and the military was my last option and now im on my last option so im taking it and honestly im glad im doing it.

The military is good for you, i know i spent 5 years in there and everything in my life is pointing me in the direction of getting back in. Sign up for 3 years and see if its for you, and it will most likely be. good luck on your decision.
